I have no idea what the longevity of this homemade home is, but I want one.

That was awesome to watch.

Says they’re from Thailand but live in the US and built that thing in California. Didn’t say where in California

Wonder how well that mud and straw holds up?

I really enjoy watching these types of videos. It amazes me what can be accomplished with vision, rudimentary tools, determination, and hard work.

Surprised they didn't do this in the earth ship area of Taos NM. Lots of weird construction methods there, ingenious but weird.

Also, where is the 'underground' part?

I've been wanting to build an Earthship since I found about them so many years ago, when the Taos project started. Even bought a full plans kit from them. Tried to get on a build team several years back, in Atlanta, but by the time we found out about it, the wait list was like 200. Still, thinking about it.
Highly efficient designs and much of it is DIY. I hear there may be a few up your way.

The one I liked the most was made out of glass bottles filled with water iirc.

You're much more likely to get away with building this sort of thing near Taos than anywhere in California.

Nobody in NM cares what you do, which is the polar opposite of California.
