She bought me this Lyman big dipped casting kit as an early anniversary gift. I love this woman! Now I need to source some lead.

Check you local tire shops for discarded wheel weights. I just scored about 300 lbs of linotype from the place my wife works. They no longer use it for printing.

Im going to start talking to the local tire stores Monday and see if I can score some wheel weights. I remember back in the 80's working at Firestone and we had to pay someone to come and take our used wheel weights. Man those were the days.

I seen that post and checked the milage and it would be a little less than 300 miles round-trip so I'm going to look local first and see if I can find a small amount to try to see if me and/or this pot can actually do this before buying a couple hundred pounds.
That pot will do nicely.
You will need a way to clean / smelt the wheel weights cause you don't want to have dirt and such in your casting pot. A old Coleman stove and cast iron pan will do.
