Saw a post on the Nextdoor app of a neighbor giving a grill away because it wouldn’t light. I said I would love it but was in the mountains for the weekend and asked if he would hold it for me until today and I’d give him some cash. Went by and picked it up today. Igniter electronics are corroded up because of the original battery. I never use them anyway and have always used a lighter. Will be nice to replace the 20 year old Weber that needs to be rebuilt at the mountain house. I don’t think they ever cleaned it in the 4 or 5 times they used it.

You got a good one. That one will last you a long time.

Damn, that’s just like mine (except mine works). Used it this weekend, and planning to a couple of times this week.

Yea I've picked up some deals the hot weekend when people pull their gas powered stuff out and it doesn't work because they stored it with ethanol fuel. Best deal was a 1yr old $600 Craftsman yard vacuum for $125. I saw that the filter had liquid marks around it from where the carb stuck open and gas flowed out. Cost $15 to fix.

I love finding "fixer upper" stuff. Especially, stuff I know has a lifetime warranty and I can get free parts from the factory. :D

Great snag. I paid a lot for a stainless version of the 4 burner.

nice
my dad raised me up telling me many ways how some people have more money than sense... this seems to fall into that category.
