The AK rep for poor accuracy is due mostly to AKs in this country being assembled from worn commie parts and then shooting garbage commie milsurp through them. I'd bet that you'd see the same effect making Mforgeries from military discards shooting third world assembled cheapo ammo.

The AK rep for poor accuracy is due mostly to AKs in this country being assembled from worn commie parts and then shooting garbage commie milsurp through them. AK accuracy is affected by the poor sights, heavy trigger pull, short stock length, and most assuredly by the mostly indifferent ammunition sold here. Lapua ball is amazingly accurate and can help any of Mikhail's bullet hoses shoot much better.

That an AK rifle can be accurate can be seen in the Finn M62/71/76 series. I once owned a Valmet M76 with the wood butt in .223 that would shoot as well as any rack grade AR. It had the advantage of superior fit, excellent sights, and shot a cartridge that benefited from high quality control standards.
