I like to travel and want options for local meandering while RVing... That's why I got my hybrid bike from REI...

So I went to look at a bike rack for the car as well from Craigslist this morning. Didn't work out but I did come across this guy...

2009 Fuji Tahoe Comp 29'er MTB that's been rode but mechanically well maintained and serviced. $1000 bike new, picked it up for $200...

Swapped out the clips for platforms and added the bottle cage... Ready to roll

29's roll really nice. Never rode one before. Between the tires and the shock it crushes my rigid fork Raleigh M-20(which I sold today and covered the cost of the upgrade:D).

Looking forward to taking it on some trips ...

I know I'm old but I still like the cages around the pedals. Never could bring myself to buy special shoes to ride a bike with.

My wife thought she wanted to go from a 22# road bike to a 18#. She dragged me along to shop for 1. I think sticker shock set in and she has always been frugal except for her cars (BMWs) so I think she's decided to stick with what she's got. I found her a deal at REI on line but I think she realized that she is a fair (read must be perfect) weather rider who on a good week only rides 3 days for 20 to 25 miles. I like the idea of a sprung bicycle. I had a Schwinn Pea Picker when I was a kid.

I don't do bike shoes either. That's why I put the platform pedals on. I ride with running shoes.

Hey big, is it too much of a hassle to put it on top??? I know Nothing about this just wondering????

On top of my truck? I could but it would be a big pain in the butt. I like the hitch rack. It folds flat.

I want a top rack for the ol'lady's car. It's a Fusion. So it's easy to set things on crossbars.

I had a coppertone Schwinn Stingray. Slick. One speed. Somebody stole it while I was in class. 4th grade I think.

Those were great for popping wheelies and leaving long black skid marks on the pavement while counter steering with the back wheel locked up.:D
