When did the CLEO approval on NFA items turn to “inform the CLEO”?

Does this mean I just buy a can, do the forms, pay the $200.00 and wait for the blessing of the crown?

Or is it more advantageous to continue on the trust already established?

It was 2016. Imo if you're just buying for yourself then a trust is an unnecessary hassle, it's not like others still can't play with your toys. But if you have kids or a wife that likes to shoot then it can be worth it, just have to submit everyones fingerprints x2 and rp forms every time.
