You got it backwards. There were Mazda trucks. Then there were Ford trucks sold to Mazda. I owned one of each.

Any other Mazda you see that looks like a Ranger,
is a Ranger.
And my other one was a FORD Ranger.

I think the Ford Probe and Mazda MX6/626 were the same car. I remember joking about Ford trading a truck design for a car design. Ford at one point owned one third of Mazda.
