I made a run to Food Lion for a few things and was going down the aisle as they were stocking Food Lion brand disinfecting wipes. I picked up just one of the 2-pack ... not being greedy ... and proceeded to the dairy aisle for other stuff. I opened the milk cooler and was digging for the better dates and when I turned around the wipes were gone ... somebody took them out of my basket. People are getting bat guano crazy over this Coronavirus stuff ... steal from someone’s grocery basket.

just think of it this way - all these people know HOW to be clean, they just don't do it on a regular basis.
I haven't really changed anything, because I learned to live (or die) by universal precautions.

I have never had a use for a Lysol wipes in my home. Ever. I barely understand their reason for existence.

I know this will sound very “get off my lawn”, but wipes, hand sanitizer.... they never existed when I was a kid.
Yep, I was buying the wipes for away from home and in vehicles ... one my kid’s truck since I think schools are pretty iffy and then with just flu season plus the Coronavirus scare and one in reserve.

At home we’ve always wiped down the counters and other surfaces with Clorox, wipe out sinks and pour it in the toilet bowl ... old school Grandma and Mom style. We double down when someone starts showing signs of getting sick and during flu season. My wife also loves Lysol spray deodorizer which supposedly kills germs but I don’t buy in on that being near as effective as good as an old Clorox wipe down.

Reactions: Me.
My wife used to coupon pretty serious a few years back. I went with her early one morning, and felt for sure we'd be early at 530 AM, but were not. Anywho, whatever laundry detergent was on sale that day was down to two jugs. I told her we really didn't need two, as we already had several from weeks previous, so she just grabbed one.
I'll be danged if somewhere between the bread and meat isle is somebody didn't lift it from our cart!

Kinda of scary if someone is that desperate . Glad all I needed was mixers for my internal sanitizer.

So ... hypothetically, someone walks up and say's "that's a very nice 1911 you're open/concealed carrying. I'm going to take those wipes there, but you're not really going to do anything about it, right?"

Now might be a good time to start a business? You could call it Tactical Grocery Delivery. Go to the store in full gear to get groceries for the elderly.

Saw a few people open carrying at Food Lion tonight, never seen that before. I felt under dressed......
I see it with some regularity at the one near my house. Sometimes it is in a floppy Uncle Mikes, sometimes IWB but no cover garment which is...interesting, and occasionally retention holsters.

I think this was posted in the WTF thread? I sent it to my next door neighbors a couple days ago. They’re in their 60s/70s. :D

My Sister finally found a store that had packs of toilet paper and above it read a sign that said' Max 2 packs per person.. There were two packs left so she grabbed one and as she was walking away. Two guys walked up to her, one said " I dont think so" and grabbed the pack she had away from her, the other guy with him grabbed the other off the shelf and they both walked away. She was shocked, didn't know what to do.. My question is? Is this what we have come to, out right stealing something from their arms in a place of business? Over toilet paper ? My faith in people has degraded even less then what it was before all this mess started..

The answer is to scream and call the police for the assault. It’s probably not her’s until she buys it, so theft would be harder to prosecute, but assaulting someone to get the last pack of TP, someone is itching to prosecute that one.

Laugh of the day award! Too funny....

I'd love to see some young guy all kitted out delivering my groceries....woooooo!

(And just so ya know: I'm NOT elderly!!! I just want the young guy in the gear to come to the house....LOL.)

I read @NCFubar & @LizardKing ’s posts and thought, “OK, there probably is a time when OC is appropriate as a deterrent.
I’d want a thumb retention holster.
I’ve a jumpsuit (hazmat like) that’s used in Pharma manufacturing and thought it’d be entertaining and an effective social distancer to make a Wally World run in that with a mask, and a Comp rig with mag holsters & the G34/DPP.

Post up the pics when you do! LOL. I want to see the get-up!

I went to a Food Lion yesterday to grab a few things. Almost everyone was extremely polite and it was honestly an enjoyable experience until near the end.

First thing that happened was a group of late teens just roaming the store, I don't even think they were purchasing anything. I'm not sure if they were facetiming someone or livestreaming but they were very loud and obnoxious holding phones up. It was basically MF this and MF that and F the grocery store for not having TP and F the employees for not stocking shelves. Manager was behind me when this started and said if they kept it up he would have them removed.

He then said he had a pallet of TP and paper towels coming out right now. I didn't need any but saw an older gentleman and his wife that I was talking to earlier thta asked if I knew where to get TP as they were out. I walked over and told him what the manager had said. I also remembered my elderly nextdoor neighbors said they needed TP and were concerned to go shopping because of medical conditions. Manager brings a case of TP over and asked me to open it and take what I needed. 6 packs of Charmin. I now have 4 elderly people standing in front of me hoping for TP. Dude walks up behind me and says"Yo, you ain't taking all that is you? Take a pack and I'm taking the rest." Me, "nope, I'm taking a pack and these folks in front of me are getting the rest of this box. Stand inline like everyone else and you might get some." He mumbled a few curse words as he was walking away.

Make his backside or his gut have grid lines in it that look very familiar to the tapered end of a buggy.

This is what some people where before the pandemic. Some people need a beat down on general principle. Some people just need to learn manners.
And actions should have consequences.
