Ah, Fast Eddie. Now I know.

Seriously, maybe we should have a CFF Booth at the H2O shoot, and maybe at other bigger shoots, where folks could put on a name tag with real name and CFF name so we could meet and mingle. What would it cost to get a banner made? It would also advertise the forum. I know several shooters at recent shoots who are not members of CFF.

You should have gotten a procedural on stage 3. You dropped a mag with a round in the chamber.

You didn't show it. You seemed cool as a cucumber.

Not in the least. My speech was starting to slur, and I was fighting confusion...both are signs that I'm becoming dehydrated and heat-stressed.

I realize it's usually all an MD can do at any match to get enough SO's, but maybe we can step in more readily to help our SOs run the shooters through a stage after the SO's have been standing in the sun for several stages. I know Phil, Barry, Eddie and Richard were helping out on our squad which was great.

I also think we probably need to take an even harder line on balancing squads before the start of a match. I have never had an unhappy experience shooting with any of the SO's on any of the squads at any of the matches in eastern NC that I shoot even when every last one of them was a stranger to me, and certainly not at H20.

Don't get me wrong...my post above wasn't a complaint about help. We always have plenty of good help in our squad, and certainly did Saturday. I'm just pointing out that I recognize certain signs of stress and know my limits...which I almost reached Saturday.

Amp made a lot of effort to balance the squads Sat, and did a danged good job.

Guys on my squad pretty much took the timer from me half way through the last stage to spell me. I needed it, was a good group of guys.

Me and Eddie passed the SO pretest, just have to get Amp to set the time for the class. I know Ash could probably pass it, hint hint.

That way SO's could take a break in the shade and hydrate.

Had my best finish on the last stage we shot when I was probably the most tired and wiped out.

Are you kidding? I can't score a target right.

Looks we'll have some tolerable weather this Saturday for a change.

50/50 right now for me. I have 2 sermons to prepare for Sunday morning and night. I hope to have them finished before Saturday...but life happens. But right now the weather looks nice.

Had a great time on @scmoose 's squad, especially getting to film scmoose junior. How many kids get to start 3rd grade on Monday and tell their buds they shot a pistol match with their old man on Saturday?

And your filmographer's babbling.

No video...looked like it was going to rain so I didn't bring the cam.
It did rain. Three times during set up. Then when it was time for the show to go on it stopped. It was an H20 miracle.
