If you could only pick 3 firearms.

I want to say a 6" S&W Model 29 for the pistol but something in .357 / 38 Spl would probably be more practical.

Remington Model 31, 12 ga. pump ( predecessor to the 870 )

Pre 1964 Winchester Model 70 in .30-06.

All in blued steel and walnut.
Classy, I like it!

If we presume a SHTF or confiscation scenario where repair/spare parts (particularly for the not-so-handy folks such as myself) are scarce or restricted:

1. 357 revolver: check
2a. AR-15 (with the 22 conversion since permitted): check/not yet
2b. Henry Long Ranger lever action in .243 Win with the 4-round detachable mag. (check)
3. 20 gauge break action: check (If one could have only three loads, I would grab maybe #8 (or #7.5) and #5 or #6 birdshot and #3 buck.

Glock 19 MOS with .22 conversion
Remington 870 12 gauge with cantilever scope mount slug barrel , 21” turkey barrel and 28” barrel.
Some version of an AR-15 with a .22 conversion as well.

To be honest the 870 would do it all for me aside from concealed carry. There’s not much game in NC that I haven’t taken with one. Bears and Fox Squirrels have so far managed to know when I couldn’t shoot them.

Browning Buckmark .22 (accuracy and reliability)
Savage Model 10 Bolt Action Stealth .308 (Power)
either Browning Pump Shotgun 12ga or RIA VR80 12ga semi (because both are so much fun to shoot)
yep

Out of my currrent lineup

Cz pcr 9mm

Ar15 with 5.56, .300BO supressed, and .22 suppressed

870 20 ga with 21" remchoke barrel and also with a slug barrel.

More concerned about ability to acquire game and defend the homeplace. Too many hills around here to worry about engaging in something farther than the ar can handle in 5.56

End times load out?
Glock 19
AR15
Remington 870
and…
P32. Because this is no time to be following rules. If I need to ditch the 3, I can conceal a P32 about anywhere.

I have Benelli M1's, 870's, Mossy 500's, Ithaca 37's, etc., but I recently got a old Remy 31 and it has become my favorite. I knew nothing about them before it being offered. Like you said, predecessor of the 870, but the Mossy 500 was actually based off of it. (old PD turn-in)

I look at it as all one package, the Hilux is like a Boyd's stock.

.
Indeed. I had a very good friend who did tours in Viet nam and once said they thought it a great idea to mount a 50 cal in a Jeep versus the 30 cal.

He said you could drive the jeep, or shoot the gun, but not both.

M1 Garand (the "conversion kit" is to shoot M2 instead of AP)
Ithaca 37

(What? I'm old.)

Or, if I'm feeling more modern,

G19 (or S&W M9 2.0, could go either way)
AR-15
Benelli Nova 12 gauge pump (because I have one)

@Chdamn .. I like this quiz..my answer below does NOT mean that I am particularly Fond of my choices..I am thinking long term parts availability.

Handgun..Any of the 12 Glocks we have here..
Shotgun....My 12 inch Remington 870
Rifle....Any of our Carolina Hammers [Thanks to @digitalpaladin10 ]

And now thinking of what I would LIKE to have

Handgun....Any of the 16 Colt 1911s we have
Shotgun....My 12 inch Stevens Double Barrel [Tuned up for me by @NiceOldDouble ]
Rifle.......Any of our Winchester model 70s in any B&M caliber

Pistol: SARO .45 with a Nelson .22 upper

- I can comfortably conceal a 1911 and I know this gun runs. Zero alibis this season.

Shotgun: Benelli 828U

- Durable, user adjustable, and it will handle any clays sport as well as small game and wingshooting.

Rifle: Remington 513-T

- I have zero need for anything else. This gun shoots a minute at 100 with irons and SK Rifle Match. I have scope blocks for glass if I’m so inclined. Mags and spare parts are out there.
