I know a majority of churches aren’t gathering at this time. Some of them have been able to transition to online, and some don’t have that ability.

Our church has been broadcasting our services for decades, so there wasn’t much to change. Figured I’d post up a link if you wanted to join us.

They’re currently doing an 8am and 11am service on Sundays. I think this past week they also broadcast the Pastor’s Class, which is a Wednesday evening bible study. The recorded versions of previous services can also be found at the link above.

I’ll bump this when I hear for sure about this coming Wednesday. I think it’s 6:30p.

Brief intro: A large church, Southern Baptist. Very biblical based. Pastor’s style is expositional. Currently working through the book of Romans on a Sunday mornings (started at the beginning of 2019, now in Chapter 10).

ETA: if you’d like to attend in person once this is all done, we have two locations in the Charlotte/Concord area. One is on Harris Blvd, and the other is basically behind Concord Mills (off 485 at Mallard Creek exit). I attend the one near CM.

Here are some options other than the 8a/11a on Sundays...

It’s my understanding you can catch it on the livestream site, or FB Live. In case there’s a question, Kids would be up through 5th grade and Students is Middle and High School.

With all of the changes we have had to incorporate into our lives recently, one thing stays the same – God is ever faithful. Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have the assurance of our eternal life, which is God’s supreme act of grace toward us. This Easter will be unlike any we have ever known, but that will not keep us from coming together as believers (even if it is remotely) to remember, reflect, and rejoice.

Beginning this Sunday, with Palm Sunday and moving toward Easter Sunday, Hickory Grove will provide numerous avenues for focusing on this special week.

  1. Palm Sunday, April 5
    • Watch a Video from the Pastor about Sunday.
    • Read Palm Sunday: A Guide for the Church.
    • Watch the Sunday School Lesson Online.
    • Watch the Sunday Worship Online.
  2. Easter Week Devotions
Beginning on Palm Sunday, our pastors will share a devotion each day (except on Good Friday) focusing on key moments before Jesus' resurrection. These five-minute videos will be posted on our website and on social media:
  3. Good Friday Service at 6:30 PM, April 10
The pastors and staff from both campuses will lead a somber service online as we mourn our sins and glory in the redemption that is ours through Christ's atoning death on the cross. The service will include music, prayer, and preaching.
  4. Easter Sunday, April 12 - Worship Online at 8 AM & 11 AM
We realize there are many distractions right now and you have valid concerns that occupy your time and thoughts. Our prayer is that these worship services, devotions, and resources will help you as you navigate these uncertain and trying times and turn your focus to the One that can bring peace and assurance.

(If anybody watches, that’s not our senior pastor...but he’s good)

ETA: senior pastor ended up being the one giving the message

For anyone that remembers Mark Harris from First Baptist Charlotte or his failed election bid in 2018 I can say he is one of the best pastors I have ever heard in person and media. 100% from the Bible and it is a real change from these more modern preachers.

This is our church, after being in multiple churches 30+ years we've found the teaching/preaching to be the best we've heard, in person or broadcast. The elders have a great balance of doctrine, compassion and reaching out to the local community in downtown Raleigh. As usual, Geoff did a great job with the Resurrection service. We still learn something new and deep every time.
Opening to sermon starts ~15:50
