give it a couple more weeks, it gets infected we can call him PEG.
Mom brought over one of her RN friends last night. Said a DR would just tell me to keep doing what I'm doing. Keep them clean and using non stick burn pads to hold in an aloe / 4% lidocaine based burn cream and a silver based wound care cream to prevent secondary infections. I'm wearing shoes during the day, it's uncomfortable, but doable. As long as I'm moving everything is fine, the swelling doesn't really set in until I stop moving towards the end of the day - that's rough - and that's when most of the photos were taken, after the shoes come off for the day and I elevate. I've got a stash of tetracycline if I need it and I'm keeping an eye on it as secondary infection is bad news. I am diabetic which causes some problems with healing - to clarify, I keep my glucose levels in check through diet and exercise, I've been off the metformin under the watchful eye of my endocrinologist for a few years now.
Amputation or whiskey for the witches in his feet first?
Was searching for gross medical leech videos....but this was more fun...
Damn man! That's brutal! Hate that you got burned so bad.
Yesterday after taking the shoes off for the day.
Better, not great, but moving in the right direction. Still swollen like a mofo.
Shame this isn’t in the basement
All injury aside, you gots some nasty hoofs, lol
They seem to be healing ok though.

The right one is doing ok, very little pain. The left one still smarts. I'm surprised there's so much difference between the two.
Overall they're doing good.
jeez dude.......I have been close to that, my skin and the sun are mortal enemies. I have learned to love the thick sunscreen with zinc (not that crap that is sold in Walmart either) that I hated to wear as a kid. It saves my skin literally.
I've had precancerous crap frozen and removed from my head and arm, and I'm not looking for any more biopsies if I can avoid it. But you seriously need to soak those hooves in some mild antibacterial solution every night, maybe some sterile pads on top with socks.....
like I said, I have been close. But that left foot is damn near 3rd degree burns without the charring!
Would the first person that has NEVER done that (to some degree) please raise your hand..... (my hands are in my pockets).....
Been there, done that. Multiple times. So I am either a bigger dumb ass than you or far paler. Or maybe both.
True. I flew my brother out to Ca years ago for a camping and fishing trip. It rained for about 5 days. We had to dig trenches around the tent. The last day it was sunny and beautiful. He went home with a horrible cold and a sunburn so bad the flight attendants had to help him on and off the plane. There are many dumb asses out there.
Day 26. Looking good.
Dam dude when you heal up you need a
My pasty arse stays out of the sun as much as possible.
Also raises hand. Only mild sunburned twice in my life, and lived in just shorts as a kid.
I do dumbass differently.
