It's a blast to shoot but I think it has too much gas to be suppressed as is.

Ive said it before, AK's were practically made for lefty's 😆 I see people doing all of the contortions to run the bolt right handed and I just go "A-HA! I DONT NEED TO DO THAT AT ALL!" (Accept my ACE, it has a "wrong-right sided" charging handle...)





......then I go back to feeling sad about revolvers and the fact I need ambi safeties for my single action autos.... <_<

I DO see some merit in tilting the rifle and "chopping" or grabbing the charging handle, when it is on the "wrong" side rather then reaching around the whole gun.

I'll have to try that. Lefty would be good for reloads but what do you do for the safety?

With a standard safety, I just manipulate it with my off hand.

The Saiga conversions are one of my most popular requests. I can certainly get her looking like a proper AK-100. It looks like you already have a AKM piston guide tube and a USA made FCG.

A few things concern me though. The most obvious to me, is the lack of a bullet guide. You'll need one to run the rifle reliably. Have you shot it yet?

Secondly, those bolt on handguard retainers always shoot themselves loose eventually if the barrel isn't dimpled. The aluminum heat cycles faster that the steel barrel and works the bolts loose.

Check out KNS adjustable pistons. They are fantastic.
