My buddy, the couch potatoes (aka: Murphy Bartholomew Jefferson) has been bestowed with a single testicle. Actually he has 2, but one never dropped. The plan has never been to breed to breed the boy, although a little extracurricular fun would never be ruled out.

Does anyone know of any possible medical issues that might arise from this condition?

I have heard from the breeder that there may be a longer lifespan from not castrating also.

Testicular cancer is the second most common tumor in older dogs. Cryptorchid males are up to 13 times more likely to develop testicular cancer than normal dogs. Neutering is the best treatment if cancer develops, sometimes followed by chemotherapy. The only way to prevent this type of cancer from occurring is to neuter the animal as a young dog.

Lost one shep to testicular cancer. Breed him once and then whack the jewels.
