Interesting read. Do you think ipda is stressful enough to boost the heartrate, or would you suggest some exercise prior to running a stage? Jumping jacks perhaps...

I think its very "stressful" based on personal goals and what you want to take away.

Physically? Nope. Mentally? Nope

Unless you want it to be, by setting your goals.

But when you are a self defense instructor like me and bolo 1st and 2nd stage. Thats self induced and good for me...

I have experienced that ones growth is finding a limit and getting broken by it. Then fill that crack and repair.

The idea that ones ability to handle situations that mean life or death can be improved upon by physical conditioning, mental conditioning and spiritual health.

A year ago i could not walk a mile in 15 minutes, today i just ran a mile in 9 minutes.

My ability to handle deadly stress has improved over a year's time even when i improved to a 15 min mile walk.

Its all relative to ones location in a personal scale of ability
 
I like that the ‘new’ Boyette has a heavy focus on physical conditioning. IMO that is my biggest weakness right now, and probably the same for others. If a fight or SHTD situation lasts more than 30 seconds many of us would have zero chance. :(

Its a multitude of reasons of the change. The main one was positive interaction with Veterans Administration Health System. Within this structure i have been successful with my disability with my back, shoulders and knees.

This gave me hope.

Hope is like cocaine, its a hell of a drug.

The point I want to make is this.

If you are like me in Jan 2019 at 335lbs if you improve your fitness by 1% every month you are 12% better at the year's end.

This means every day you are better able to fight off some shithead from the yesterday you.

The ability scale measurements are you vs you.
