Was wondering what scrap lead, mostly wheel weights is going for now. I have a chance at 6-8 five gallon buckets full and need to come up with an offer. Any help appreciated. Gonna try to post a pic of some of it.

I pay $15-$20 a bucket when mixed at least half lead. I think I see some non lead in your pics too. Lots of aluminum and zinc and steel these days more so than lead

If buckets are not really old there is not as much lead as you think. You will get good at being able to pick out the pieces that are lead.

when i was selling it heavy i averaged $18 dolllars a bucket. I had one shop that would sort it for me and throw away any non lead and i'd pay them $40 per bucket. expect 50% or less lead from most shops

Check and see how much scrapyards in your area are paying for wheelweights. That's a starting point.

There’s a mix of stuff in buckets. I’ll have to hook up trailer and drive hour each way, then load it. If only worth 17-18 bucket not worth it most likely.

There is a guy on the muzzleloader forum that melts lead into ingots and sells for $1.50 per lb. if my memory is correct.
