Injuries reported, 'unstable situation, shots fired' at Colorado school, sheriff says

Our office is right by the school. They had us on “lock down” yesterday. Could see everything happen from my desk while I worked.
I didn't notice your location until just now.

Latests reports make it sound like a lefty Obama fan and a brain damaged Tranny. The left just keeps getting more feisty and more screwed up.
Oh, on this one, the perps check off every one of their SJW causes. No wonder they’ve gone silent. They don’t give two bits about the dead and wounded. They don’t even offer “thoughts and prayers”. It goes against their narrative so they stay silent. @$$h0les.

Also, the sheriff confirmed the school security officer stopped the shooting before the police arrived. Apparently the individual was a swat responder to the columbine shooting.

More proof that security on site makes a difference in making schools less of an easy target.

This school is for smart kids. STEM stands for Science Technology Engineering Math.

Contrast these kids with the government/media educated kids of Parkland who were more than willing to be used.

Colorado school shooting:
6th grader grabbed bat as shooters approached: 'I was going to go down fighting'
Dear subject, er I mean citizen. That response does not comply with the run hide fight doctrine.

They taught us that BS at work. I had a hard time sitting through it. Something about being told to be a little bitch and hope you survive the scary situation doesn’t sit well with me.

Hmmm ... 6th grade means approximately 12 years old ... at that age the huevos are getting big enough to think and act to protect himself. Yeah, the attacker was older and most likely taller but that a lot of the time “It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog” and that kid sounds like he had a big helping of fight in him. I’m glad he didn’t have to act don’t I’m even more glad he has the fight in him ... don’t know if it was his parents or what who gave him that attitude but whoever did damn good for them also.

Do YOU remember middle school?? I remember middle school. Brutal. Very much a Lord of the Flies environment....just little enough violence and societal breakdown to keep kids from being institutionalized or imprisoned; definitely survival of the strongest. Middle schoolers could hold their ground. I have no doubt.

Yep, but I was junior high not middle school ... I’m old school. But in 6th grade I was playing sports, Scouts, rode motorcycles wanting to be Roger DeCoster (yeah that old) and such. At 12 I had fight in me but society and being brought up in a more rural NC I don’t think I’d have thought like that kid ... but by God as I’ve seen the crap of society float to the surface I’ve done my damnest to train my family ... my son and wife ... fight like that 3rd monkey on the ramp of the Ark and the rain has started falling! Times change ... I grew up in a simpler time and thank a God for that but I pray for mine and all the other good kids out there today who face what is out there. Teach your children well ... not quite what CSN meant but words to live by.

Wow, a vague Crosby, Stills and Nash reference. When i read that line, i heard it in my head. :D

It is my sincere hope that after these last two tragic shootings the behaviors of people in them will change.

I remember growing up hearing about airliners getting hijacked. Most of the time people were told to just let it happen, the terrorists would make demands, the plane would land, and life would go on.

Then 9/11 happened. Tales of the passengers fighting for their lives inspired people to do the same. I recall a few instances after 9/11 where people tried to ignite bombs or otherwise misbehave and passengers immediately pounced.

Some will say it is TSA that has brought this new era of peace in the airways, but I truly think it’s the fact that terrorist now know that as >soon< as they start their plans other passengers will stomp a mud hole in their butts and walk it dry. It removes the narrative of them making a political statement.

Now in the past two shootings we have seen students take matters into their own hands. Fighting back, hard, against aggressors. The trick to defense is to always harden a target. If maniacs know that as soon as they break out their gun then kids will dive on them and beat them bloody and their mass kill event will turn into just another butt whooping then they will think again.

Run, hide, fight will, and should, turn into fight, fight harder, win. Only then will these crazies realize that their plans of twisted glory of showering in blood will actually be primarily their own.

Great analogy! TSA is considered to be grossly ineffective...just like gun control. But even if you consider TSA to have value, the value comes from the controls to make sure a gun free zone is actually gun free.

The only semi-possible way to really secure schools would be to begin TSA level security on every.single.school in the nation. Walls, controlled entry, security scanners, armed guards. The whole 9 yards. Any school that doesn’t comply would be a target.

Secure the border, end foreign aid to countries that want to kill us, cut off Nancy Pelosi’s bar tabs, and we could probably pay for it. Not that I would want to.

Or...we as parents could stop relying on the state to raise our children....but nah...that takes effort.

Has anyone seen what the second critter looks like? I presume it's going to be tried as an adult.
The 2nd Critter (I love that label) was reported as a female juvenile which is going to be somewhat a debate on tried as an adult until the investigation shows enough for the DA to be able to file as an adult so no official name or such will be released ... I’m betting the identity is known in that community but the media won’t report it for fear of legal reasons. BUT I will say that a leak of Maya McKinney age 16 has surfaced. Funny thing is while a female she goes by the name Alec and identifies as a male ... exact opposite of Erickson. In the end I think you’re correct about being the 2nd Critter being charged as an adult because I’m guessing it’s age will be 15 to 17 years old with the nature of actions and that age range being aware of right and wrong along with consequences it should be expected. I’m guessing the one hold back is knowing exactly how the 2nd Critter was involved and what charges could be filed ... did it actively shoot as students, just along for the craps & giggles or what? Charging a juvenile with 1st degree murder or any other similar type crime will take precise evidence from the investigation and in Colorado a judge must approve the filing of such charges so maybe the agencies involved are really laying the foundation to give the DA a true base for charges. Monday will likely be the day the formal charges are approved by the judge in a court appearance and filed by the DA.

I’ve likely mentioned this before, but it’s worth noting. A few months ago he local CERT held a presentation purportedly on active shooters, which turned out to be just the Run, Hide, Fight video at the end. You know basically the cower until govt. comes to save you video. You could see it in the face of the Sheriff deputy who gave the presentation that he knew this was the wrong answer but he gave it anyway.

The problem with enacting TSA like “security” in schools is the same as with the airport. No matter how big you make the green zone, the bad guys can always attack outside of it. Busses, parking lots, ball fields, etc. Gun restrictions, the go to librul answer have the same problems; they don’t apply to the bad guys. The real answer begins with a change of mindset leading to better tactics.

Why did this shooting become a black hole for the major media?

It turns out one of the shooters was the trans-gender anchor-baby of a previously-deported illegal alien according to this Daily Mail article from the UK.

Was mentioning the shooting to the wife today and she hadn't even heard about it.

Just checked with the kids. They hadn't heard about it either!

I find they my lead time on stories is about 3 days before the family hears through regular media. But, this time, they didn't know about it until I told them.

As much as I don’t like politicizing an event, when one occurs that does fit their little boxes for them to scream for their ridiculous wish list, this event needs to be put in their face as an example of their hypocrisy.

We have to watch the DHS active shooter video at work one a year for mandatory safety training at my PT retail job. I laughed when the older overweight guy drags a huge potted plant to block the door to his office and hides under his desk, the young lady in a cubicle grabs a pair of scissors and is ready to go wolverine if necessary.

I'm with her, I like fire extinguishers and wasp spray.
