Screwed a 58” 2x4 to the wall using 3” screws, 1 into each stud.

Screwed the inline fabrication quick change storage docks to the 2x4 using the supplied hardware.

Feels pretty solid, but with 4 presses on it, and the presses are maybe 6” off the wall because of the design, it does wiggle and I am a little worried about the financial loss if it comes down.

Anyone ever have a problem?

Think I should take down the 2x4 and put up a sheet of plywood?

Long, well built screws will hold your apparatus.
Make sure they have a good bite in the studs behind them.

If you need extra room for maybe 3 or more screws in each stud use a 2x6 for the back plate. (not sure of actual weight that you will be hanging)

Catch a few studs to the left and right of the end of the length you actually need or go wall to wall if in a cubby area.

It will probably hold. If you want to improve it, add a few more screws. Two on the same stud positioned as far apart (vertically) as they can be without busting out of your 2x4.

I have 2 presses on the same setup and it's been fine. Yes, I can make them "flex" but nothing has crashed yet.

Thanks guys, went from 3” #12 wood screws to 3.5” 1/4” lags. Clearly much tighter to the wall and things aren’t moving.
