Has anyone done this before? I just got a instant pot and tree rats can be tough so figured it would be good. Any ideas on how long and pressure? Thanks

I'm assuming about the same as you would do frog legs.

Let us know how it turns out.

I was going to try this tonight or tomorrow. From what we were told it’s high pressure for 10 mins. @hp468 can chime in with more.

You saying you have squirrels? Like, ready to go for real squirrels? Just gonna take them out the fridge/freezer and instant pot them?

Squirrels...

Add a cup of broth/stock per squirrel and run it up to pressure for 10 mins. That's what was suggested to me, haven't tried it yet.

I reckon from there make gravy with the drippins and eat with rice.

Here is another idea.....
Our youngest is a squirrel slayer and we always seem to have some in the freezer. We use game shears to section them into five pieces, toss them in an egg wash, then flour, fry them up and then roll them in Buffalo Wing sauce! Hard to beat.

So we tried the instant pot squirrel tonight. 10 mins on high pressure with chicken broth. Results were not what I expected. Although the squirrel had great flavor it was extremely tough not tender like I anticipated. Will try another method next time.

If anyone has any tried and true recipes they like would love to hear it.
