Interesting ammunition gauge product

Came across these ammunition gauges with a slot so you can actually see the chamber fit . Looks like a small outfit with some cool products.

Yeah, they make some nice stuff. I have 4 or 5 of their gauges.

That would be pretty cool if you had the gauge made at the same time as you had the chamber reamed. For a generic chamber and a generic gauge I’m not sure that I see much benefit.

Unlike most of the gauges that only check headspace/length, the Sheridan gauge will make sure the brass will fit any chamber. It does not check the seating depth, IOW distance to the lands. You are correct, that could only be done with a gauge made from the same reamer used to make the chamber in the barrel.
