Intermittent fasting... or is it?

"the american heart association seems pretty reliable."

I was going to give my opinion of this association that goes back from being affiliated with them over years through my own career. Mostly about some of the BS they always come up with based on only the associations beliefs.

But after watching:

DurhamDad

Video I can't explain it better than that Doctor.

I fasted hard today from roasted chicken at 12:30 to a little pork bbq at 3:30.

I’ve never gone more than 3 days, and now that I’ve started on meds for mild hypertension I don’t think the potential benefits exceed the potential risks. What I need to try is rigid portion control, I’m the guy that believes gorl scout cookies and ice cream only come in single serving containers.

They don't?

There are potential risks and they exceed the potential benefits?
Indeed, the risk that it’s bad for my health exceeds the potential benefit to my health.

Oh, for  your health.

Gotcha.
Yeah, no idea if it’s good of bad for anyone else, it’s already a full time job keeping up with my own issues.

I broke a 134 hr fast this morning. Nothing but water (and a swig of dill pickle juice once in a while for electrolytes). My longest is 7 days. I feel great. Once you do a fairly long fast it's much easier to do the short ones. You sure learn a lot about what various foods do to you body. You also learn that a couple of days not eating won't kill you.

I find that I feel much better just drinking 16oz of water first thing in the morning, light snacking on fats like nuts or avocado for lunch and then I eat a high protein (meat) for dinner. My brain functions better, my body functions better and I just feel better in general. That's not my everyday but I feel better when that's what I do.
Sugar makes me easily agitated after I have it then I crash. I think that's my body telling me to limit my sugar intake.
Regular caffeine intake in the mornings makes me WAY more groggy when I first wake up. Also, if I have caffeine then stop, I get really bad headaches that affect the right side of my head, temple, and above my right eye. So I just avoid it all together.
I think fasting in moderation is healthy, it lets your body burn up the stored calories.
