It sells on line for $15-$20 a roll. It’s fluxless tin/copper/silver, and I might get ~75lbs off the stuff.

Might use it in a low cost Lee mold but even then be careful and not run it too hot; just enough to melt the stuff would be my method.

I’ll clarify, use it as tin. Tin helps with fill out and hardening, but also best to get a little (3%) antimony in the alloy.

Nice score, even if you use it for something else.

I've used solder to help fill out the mold but antimony (as in clip on wheel weights) is far better at hardening lead.
2% tin is a great addition to COWW alloy and pure lead 50/50 (or 49/49/2)

I have over 100lbs of pure lead.
at 2% you have enough tin to make about 2 tons of alloy.
You could swap some of that solder for some linotype or monotype, or go to roto metals and buy some superhard.

Pewter. If you're out with the woman and she's going through thrift shops get your ass in there and look for it. I have a box of it that I need to melt down into small disks. It does help make a pretty bullet.

Value wise, this would work only if you got the pewter items extremely cheap at such shops.

Spot price for tin is currently just under $16/pound. (Obviously, actual cost is spot plus a mark up. About $22 or so per pound if you buy 3 or 4 pounds at a time.)

You can get pewter ingots for nearly the same price as tin ingots, though, if you shop around.
