We need to leave the Muslim countries alone, they have been fighting each other, and everyone else in their path, for thousands of years. We're not gonna stop it. Pull all our stuff out of the Muslim countries and let them keep fighting amongst themselves. If they try to bring it here, we can fight back from here. We have long distance bombers and we can fire missiles from Nebraska that will get there. Every stunt they pull against us, carpet bomb one of their major cities with a flight of 50 or so B-52s.

Agree with most except the last line.
Carpet bombing one of their cities will not stop the extremists from wanting to harm us. It might fuel them more, actually.
These people do not value their lives like most of us do, they want to be martyrs for their faith.

All of the latest geological surveys show we have more oil deposits here than in the majority of the Arab countries put together. Most of the fields in Texas that were run dry decades ago are now full again. Why do we need them? We have enough oil here to last centuries. Why do we sell our oil to other countries and then buy from the Arabs?
There have been studies done that show that oil is not a "fossil fuel" made up from dead dinosaurs, but rather a renewable resource produced under the earth's crust. Wells that were run dry now produce again, might be true.

I had read a while back that if we overestimated the number of carbon life that died to produce oil by a factor of 10 we would have run out of oil more than 50 years ago. I know there's a loft of soft science and bad math trying to figure that out but the point it, there was a finite amount of material that could have produced oil, so it should be depleted; yet, we are finding more and more.
