Can anyone confirm what color codes ISMI uses for their recoil springs? I have a blue spring, but it's labeled for a full size Glock. On a random site I found the following, but it might not be "official" info from ISMI:

For a large frame Glock (17 or 34), 13-yellow, 15-red, 17-plain.

For a compact frame Glock (19), 13-blue, 15-white, 18-plain

I was not aware ISMI was color coding their springs. All have mine have been basic black.

Are you running stock spring weights? Those were listed as plain black. Maybe ISMI doesn't code them? Maybe the retailer NDZ adds the paint? (NDZ isn't answering sales questions over the weekend.) My 15# spring has red paint, which is consistent with what the other source said. Blue isn't though.20221205_022952.jpg

I'm trying to remember if ALL mine are stock weights. Most are, but I thought I had a few heavy, but they might have been from somewhere else.

Got a jumble of info from ISMI and NDZ. I was told that the springs for a Glock 17 have 36 coils and a Glock 19 version has 31 coils. The coil count is correct at 36. However, when I tested the spring by racking the slide, it's significantly lighter than the 15# spring. Also, it's about 5" compared to the 5.4" 15# spring. If I point the muzzle up and slowly release the slide, it will return to battery IF I'm not holding the trigger back. So, I think it's an 11# spring instead of the 13# that I ordered.

I was also told by ISMI that they only color code for Wolf and NDZ and they use different colors. Other companies might paint their own or just keep them plain.

Comparing the relative sizes to this photo also supports the feeling that's it's 11# instead of 13#.

I was sent another spring with white paint. Seems to be the correct one.

I recently purchased some ismi 13# springs from lone wolf and they were painted blue. 🤷‍♂️

If there is no reference available, what’s the point?

So depending on where you bought them, the color codes are below:

Lone wolf:
11#-white and blue
13#-blue
15#-red
17 or 18(stock)-no color
20#-white
22#-yellow
24#-no color but will be considerably long

NDZ:
11#-light blue
13#-white
15#-red
17/18 (stock)-no color
20#-orange
22#-yellow
24#-green

Where did you find all that info?? Are the colors the same for different lengths or coil counts, such as for a Glock 19 vs a Glock 17?

What was is for? I wonder how many different models of springs they actually have.

A support guy at ISMI sent it to me. He said G17 springs are 36 coils and G19 springs are 31 coils.

I don't know why they don't just publish a reference. Seems like they would want everyone to be able to figure out what they had. I think the companies like NDZ we're tired of it too and asked for the color coding.

Right. An ISMI rep only gave me bits of info instead of the full reference. Doesn't make much sense.

It was like pulling teeth getting the info. I had to ask for it, specifically.
