I personally don't have this ammo but there are video's and pictures making rounds on internet where at least two guys had their guns blow up and they were using the same ZSR ammo down to the lot number. Thought of sharing the info for awareness.

I will have to check if I have some of that brand, thanks for sharing!

I'll have to give my ammo stock a look, I might have 9mm or 5.56 they made.
Don't know about the rest of you, but that makes one suspicious of all their products.

Yep, got two thirty round boxes of M193 5.56.......

It'll be put away and not used...

Go to about 7:00 in.

Too bad there wasnt a single educated shooter with them. The first question is whether there was a case rupture or bolt failure, which it doesn’t appear to have occurred. A live round was in the chamber, which indicates the bolt was able to load a live round despite the catastrophic event. If there were a case rupture leading to ejection of the entire magazine, I wouldn’t expect a live round to have fed into the chamber. These clowns don’t even demonstrate what was in the chamber. Overall the event looks more like a detonation of rounds in the magazine.

this dude seems well intentioned but clearly lacks diagnostic skills.

would be interested to hear what others here think may have occurred.

I would say the case head ruptured and blew hot gasses into the mag. The bolt never cycled and what they extracted was the ruptured case.

certainly plausible, in which case the rifle did it’s job of keeping the bolt intact and venting gas downward into the magwell. If it was indeed a case failure (or overcharge) I’d call it a win for the Springfield M1A. It just still seems weird that they were able to extract the case by running the bolt. Then again I’ve never had a case failure thank god to have first hand experience.

Up to 4 now that claim to be using lot 15 of the ZSR ammo…2 M1s, 1 M77 and 1 PTR. Recall by one company that sold some of the ZSR ammo in the states.
