Quitting smoking is one of the hardest things I ever did... and I did it twice!! So you may consider me an authority when I say: Great job making this progress, it speaks volumes of your inner strength.

Keep up the good work!

This is number two for me, too. First time was six years. Ive stayed mad at myself for a few years now for picking em back up lol

Today is day 30!!!
One whole month and still going strong!!!

I never toot my own horn for squat, but dammit, I'm proud of this and everybody on this forum needs to know :D
I look forward to day 300! Keep it up dude, you got this!!!!!!

LOL. Just be sure to notify the DoD so they don't launch a counter-strike!
The cops come visit every year.
Not just one of em, either...ALL of them lol. I swear every city cop for my little town and every Deputy Dawg in the County makes a drive by lol.
Last year a couple of the city boys stopped and hung out with the folks on my back deck and watched for about fifteen minutes or so.
They've never given me a bit of trouble.

Hey, here's a thought: tell them that, when they've rounded up a bunch of dangerous & illegal fireworks, they should bring 'em to you for ...er proper disposal! You'd do it free, of course, for the public good and... the children.

Update 4APR2019
Today makes day number 365 without a cigarette.
It will be a full year when I lay my head down tonight. I feel soooo much better and have more energy. I have also gained 15 pounds in the last year lol. Breaking that snack habit is next lol.
Just thought those who cared to share would like to know I made it this far.

Good for you!!!

A buddy of mine smoked for yrs and tried to stop several times and couldn't. An old man finally told him something to try...... he bought a pack of clove cigarettes from a tobacco shop and held out until he was jonesing bad for a Marlboro, then lit one up. He said they were absolutely horrible but made himself smoke the whole thing. He continued that routine and said that it didn't take long before he associated his cravings with the terrible taste of those clove cigarettes. He quit before the pack was empty.

I smoked clove cigs off and on while I was in college, mostly while partying on game days. I actually kinda liked them. Couldn't smoke more than six or seven a day, though. They made my chest hurt something fierce.
Ironically, that was while I was quit from regular cigs the first time lol.

@draco88
Congratulations!!! Way to stick with it.
That year may have seemed like a long time but OTOH, wow...it's already been a year!!!
Proud of ya.:)

Good job, I've quit twice myself, hardest thing I think I've ever done. But one of the things I'm proudest of. It takes a Hell of a Lot to do it, and keep it done. Dont smoke the first one and you wont have to go through it again. My wife smokes as well, and I stay on her, but I guess she will see the light one day. Good on you for quitting. Something to be proud of.

Can you actually quit twice?

Or is it really one pause and one quit? :D
