QUOTE:

Caps Lock Day first came to pass in the year 2000, when Derek Arnold of Iowa decided that he, like so many other internet users, had simply had enough of people using all caps to emphasize themselves on the web. So he created Caps Lock Day in the interest of POKING FUN at people who use this abomination of a typing style, and to finally bring some sanity to the net.

unfortunately, it was yesterday...today is “ultra small font all lower case day” because everyone’s throats are hurting from screaming so much yesterday...

PORCCA VACCA IT'S-A ALSO ITALIC-A DAY!! WHAT-A COINCIDENZA

A millennial hipster dufus once told me that's called e screaming. He went on to says it's considered to be rude.

So naturally, every email to him has always been in capitals...

It truly doesnt bother me. Ive never read a caps locked sentence as screaming. Just seems weird to me to imagine it that way so i dont. My grammar and punctuation has been in steady decline since i got out of school. Another 5 years and ill need my kids to proof read my messages.

Its one of the things that drove me off of facebook. Tons of people who don't understand how to use punctuation or paragraphs, and TYPE EVERYTHING IN CAPS LOCKS AND CERTAINLY DO NOT SPELL CHECK ANYTHING.

I'm at a point now where if I see something that's ALL CAPS, or lacks punctuation or is just a solid wall of text without breaks, I don't even read it. They cover this stuff in 3rd grade English class. If they couldn't make it that far, I figure they don't have anything intelligent to say.
