I've never been big into gear. Yea, it's cool and all, but it never tickled my fancy. But here lately I have been thinking about it more and more.

I have been looking more at vests/chest rigs. Seeing pouches for mags, IFAKs, and all other sorts.

Other than classes and gun games, what is a good use for them? I know it's a good way keep gear stowed and ready to go.

I was thinking of setting one up to keep in the truck with an AR just for reloads, unless there is a better reason no one has told me.

I bought a cheaper Condor battle belt for my 2/3 gun stuff. I also keep it ready for action in the closet. Pistol, pistol and rifle mags ready to go . just grab long gun.

I've got a HSGI battle belt loaded with 5.56 and .45 Glock mags, IFAK, Water bottle and a Spartan sheath knife. I also keep an HSGI vest with ESAPI plates with more mag pouches and bino pouch. I keep both of these in a Hazard4 duffle bag in the back seat of my truck. I keep another identical battle belt at the house except it's set up for 5.56 and 9mm Glock mags.

Sure, I'll try to in the morning.

I don't go full out but I have a HSGI Costa Rig I keep with my travel AR. 2-AR mags, 2 Glock mags, leatherman. Also have an IFAK/Blowout and some misc small gear. My armor is concealable. I keep it stashed.

That's kinda the point having you gear organized and ready to go. Say you have to hit the road, are you just going to dump everything in a duffle and throw it over your shoulder? What if you have to fight? What if you have to fight and run? To me the main point is to have gear for immediate access under stress. You don't want to be like that woman looking for her car keys in her bag when you've just run your mag dry or need a knife or need your med kit, etc. Especially if someone is shooting at you and you're running like hell.

I made a simple bandolier and carry case for one of my 9mm setups.

I have a Glock 42 and when I'm feeling froggy I carry an extra mag.

My stuff is in a duffle, laying on the floor in the back seat of the truck. Unless you kit up every time you leave the house, how else do you keep it "ready"? Mines within easy grabbing distance as is my cased M4 and my pistol and a couple of extended mags is at hand...always! There's no good way to be always ready. You just do what you can.
