Jack Ryan on Amazon

Just watched the first two of eight episodes. Me, my wife and the dog really enjoyed it. It'll be hard not to watch it all at once.

Into the first episode, Jack's wife is an eye Doc in the books, not infectious diseases. I do not like this Greer character at all.

Tonight my wife asked “so if I cut open a body, hide a gun in there in two parts, ship it, receive it, and put it back together without so much as rinsing it off will it still work? I assume that she is watching the series, I haven’t started it yet.

What if she's not?

Just started watching it tonight and now I’m hopelessly sucked in.

Not phenomenal, but definitely worth watching

Yep.

I finished it. There a more than a few parts where Greer peddles the pro-muslim bs.

It's entertainment, so take it for what it is.

I'm at episode 5, and I really wish they would stop with the left wing spin. I really loved Clancy's books, read them all, he must be rolling in the grave over this. That said, I would love to see Red Storm Rising made into a multi part movie, 8-10 hours, broken up into 2 hour chunks.

Yeah, but not the first time Hollywood has monkey-f**ked around with Clancy's vision...this one was from 16 years ago:

The threat of al-Qaida terrorist attacks is currently scaring America stiff. But you'd be hard-pressed to find Muslim terrorists in any of today's blockbuster action movies, which instead offer such uncontroversial bad guys as killer aliens and abusive husbands. Why is Hollywood shying away from al-Qaida-like villains?

Absolutely. I have said for years that Red Storm Rising would be a great Netflix or Amazon series.

I have 2 more episodes left. I have never read a Tom Clancey book, but I am enjoying this series. It has kept me on the edge of my seat and the story is intriguing. Look past the undertones and enjoy the series I say.

OK, now this is a problem.

The Hunt for Red October
Red Storm Rising
etc...

We started watching last night and finished them all up today. I like the books a lot better, but the series was good and I also enjoy the different movies.

I like all the Tom Clancy stuff. Right now I am on Op-Center series and just started #8 today Mission of Honor. Finished all 18 Jack Ryan series last year.

Entertaining, but a whole lot of islam apologist propaganda.

Hollywood changed the terrorists in Sum of All Fears from Muslims to white supremacists even though it was a complete unrealistic plot. Muslim terrorists with nukes is far more realistic and likely.

So, is the girl an ID doc or an epidemiologist? It seems to go back and forth.

I like seeing the moral ambiguity with the wife, and the change over the years.

The drone pilot? Stupid storyline.

I like Greer. I don't care if he's Muslim.

Where did she get the body from?

We binge watched the whole season on Saturday, definitely liked it. I feel like they definitely have a rollercoaster of how they're painting Muslims. One minute, they just wanna have peace and make art, then they have them doing what they are better known for.

But it's a truer picture of how they actually are. Honestly, I have met more who just want to be left alone than who want to blow people up.

Watched first episode last night and really liked it a lot
I'll try to do another episode today, another tomorrow

Just finished "French Connection" and liked it even more than the Pilot episode
Greer converted to Islam to marry his wife, big deal.
Showing Muslims having families and caring about stuff that's not terror related, big deal.
Its a good dang show so far and Im excited about the next six episodes and future seasons!

Still need to watch A Quiet Place or whatever that horror movie was called with him in it

But they are just loving people who just want to live and let live.

If all Muslims wanted to kill Christians then I think we'd have a much bigger problem on our hands, considering a quarter of Earth's population is Muslim.

I’m liking it so far.

Anyone else catch the Streetcar references?

Loved it! I will admit the drone pilot stuff didn't need to be in it.
agree so far (ep 3 now)
I dont see the point in having him part of it, maybe it comes up later...please dont spoil for me lol

Well crap, I finished it today lol
I loved it
Some of those episodes really gripped me, exciting.

Greer was cool. Real jerk at first...and in the middle...but there at the end you really start to dig the guy.
Im ready for the next season!
