I have a S&W 442 carried in an Uncle Mike's #3 pocket holster, while waiting on my Mika's pocket holster. I tried it in the front pocket of my Rustler 33in regular fit jeans and the grip shows a bit. Have any of you found a different brand of Jeans that has a little deeper front pocket?

Not sure if going to a 34 in or a relaxed fit would give me a larger or deeper pocket.

5.11 now has jeans I've not seen them in person but they look good. I bet they have deeper pockets.

You will probably need a looser fit. That being said, I bet it doesn't print as bad to others as it does you.

Duluth and Carhartt jeans have deeper pockets.
This is one of the things I check before I buy shorts or pants, see how deep the pockets are.

Have several pairs of shorts that I can't pocket carry in because you can see the grip from the top of the pocket

I carry a Ruger LCR .357 or an ugly but very dependable Keltec PF9 in my front pocket quite a bit. Heck, @Geezer even pocket carries a Glock 19 but he may have to post which type of pants/shorts he chooses for that style of carry.

Savane or Izod dress slacks, Wrangler carpenter style jeans or shorts, and Tru-Spec tactical pants all work well in concealing my pocket carry choice for the day.

Seeing the grip is my concern

Thanks for the suggestions I will give them a look

I am not really concerned about printing, the grip is visible. If they were just deeper that would work.

Gotcha', I'm not sure why they make pants like that. I have some that struggle to keep a .380 out of sight.

Columbia makes a pair with two pockets one hidden with a zipper I can conceal my s@w shield and mo one can see a print only print is what is in the outer pocket. not dnim but good wearing and I can always use an extra pocket.

I wear these for pocket carry, I really looooovvvee the Burgundy flairs....and the brown corduroy!!!!!!

If those don't fit your fancy, try these! I especially like the part where Dennis drags his ass on the carpet like a wormy dog...

Great commercials

Jeans IDK, I wear Lucky Brand pretty much exclusively but pockets aren't deep. My other fav are 5.11 Stryke, but that's not jeans. My pocket carry is an LCP custom so not the same.

All my Carhartt have ripped. Don't hold up for shit. People can make fun of my trendy Lucky jeans, but Ive never had a pair tear on me. $100 well spent. Just make sure you get em at Lucky and not another store. They aren't the same.

There is elastic in Lucky jeans that allow them to stretch.

I check the pockets, no matter the brand. Even if I'm wearing a pair with a J Frame in my pocket. That's a must for the less expensive stuff from Wally, Target, etc. Sizing and quality seem to fluctuate a bit. Full or relaxed fit helps, for me anyway. My CHP instructor advised us that we may want to get used to wearing bigger pants.

5.11 is nice stuff. You must have "deep pockets" for that quality though. I won't part with that sort of money for a pair of jeans that are likely to get destroyed. Casual wear is a different story.

I know ScotteVest has some kaki's and pants wih deep pockets. They might have jeans or cargo's too. Or just go gangsta and wear jeans way too big with your ass hanging out. :D

Surprised to hear your Carhartt ripped on you. Afraid I need the deeper pockets.

I'm with you about the deep pocket spending, looking for less expensive. I have hear some say that Arizona Jeans from Penney's has deep pockets and maybe Wrangler Relaxed Fit would work.

I'll back up what Irish said. The Carhartt blue jeans are junk. Pockets come loose, knees wear out..
Carhartt duck pants are pretty good, but much heavier material and stitching. I don't wear those in the summer though, too hot.
I'm hard on jeans. My work kills them. I've had great results with Wranglers. My LC9 will fit front pocket in their boot cut/regular fit, but it would be too tight for a wheelie. Their carpenter style that Brangus mentioned do have the larger and deeper pockets, more roomy everywhere too but not baggy. Usually around $25 or so. They'd fit your Smith no problem.

Sometimes you can find Savane in denim. Same cut as their khakis,

I'm glad cool weather is back! It makes it so much easier to carry!
Or, makes it easier to carry a bigger gun.
When I buy pants or shorts, the first thing I do is put my hand in the pocket to see how deep it is. If shallow, I move on. I very seldom wear jeans any more, I wear Carhartt khakis. I did pocket carry my Glock 19 for a long time but have since switched to OWB carry but I carry a J frame or LCP in my left front pocket, as well. Now that long pants season is getting here, I add a J fame on my ankle. Evan Marshall says if you're going somewhere that you think you might need a gun, take two, three is better.

I've seen a few posts where people say the Wrangler Relax cut have large enough pockets for a J Frame. I think I will give them a try

Everyone says that but I find it makes it more difficult to get to mine. I usually wear OWB with a fleece vest to cover the gun and then jacket to stay warm. That is one reason I want to pocket carry. I guess I am by myself on this one.

I'm thinking I live a sheltered life, I had never heard of them
Prison Blues have a label that says "Made on the inside for wear on the outside." I forget which prison they're made in. They truly are the best jeans I've ever worn. The double fronts are indestructible. Somebody on the Canada forum recommended the Prison Blues jeans. And I stumbled across the Wild Ass jeans on baileysonline.com I ordered a pair of each & another pair of each in doublefront & I know they will outlast me. Wild Ass are on sale for 24.99 now. You won't buy anything comparable at any price. Sign up for their email sales.

Great...........thanks for posting this info !

Are you finding the Savane denims in the chain stores like Belks, Penneys, etc? I like Savane pants.

Just buy a few pair of these and you won't be able to afford many guns
http://fortune.com/2017/04/25/nordstrom-jeans-fake-mud-barracuda/

""Heavily distressed medium-blue denim jeans in a comfortable straight-leg fit embody rugged, Americana workwear that's seen some hard-working action with a crackled, caked-on muddy coating that shows you're not afraid to get down and dirty," reads the description on Nordstrom's website."
That's a lot of money for fake mud, how much is the real stuff??
