This would mean basically a $5 surcharge for a sandwich with tip. I sent them an email to let them know to step off forever. I didn't use the word step. [email protected]
The $3 doesn't include the tip. Of course you can maybe not tip and hope they don't...
Anyway, when I went to check out with just a large sandwich, nothing else, we are already at $13. With tip, $15. For a sandwich. No drink, no chips, just a sandwich. No happenin.
What single sandwich did you order that was 13 bucks?
And youre ok with a 13 dollar sandwich but not 3 bucks for the convenience of them bringing to your door? lol
Like others said, Pizza places have done it for years and even at my low salary, 3 bucks aint worth my time/gas/frustration in traffic etc
To the experts - does delivery charge go to the driver or what?
Id thinkit would, but not sure. If it does go to driver then tip wouldnt be required
With pizza, it's usually a flat fee paid to the driver per delivery, plus hourly, plus tips.
The flat fee is for fuel, wear and tear etc.
I bet the current cost of fuel really hurt the delivery drivers. Probably not worth doing the job. Might be why JJ added the fee, to help with fuel costs.
..... I'm ok with the delivery fee. It's a service in addition to the product..... and there's always some cheap bastards who don't tip well, and that's why you have the fee. It costs money to maintain the vehicle that delivers your grubb a dub dub. Plenty of places add this fee onto the bill, and have for many years.
At any rate, I don't care for Jimmy Johns food... cheap process meats, bread and cheese, blah. Their subs are as bad as Subway and Sheetz.
Some of y'all really need top join the 21st. I bet ya still talk about $79.00 sks and bricks of .22 for 6.99. I could not care any less about a crappy JJ sandwich. But 3 bucks for delivery. That sounds like a bargain to me.
