Well, after a trip to the indoor range with my son this past weekend, I have finally decided to join PHA. I've been putting it off for a while, but it's time. Nothing happened at the other range (Sprotsman's Lodge in Yadkin county), they have always been great, I just don't want to subject my son to the condensd smoke, powder and lead exposure.

So, I'm going to the meeting tomorrow night. Is anyone from here going to be there? I'll be the fat guy with a big blonde beard in a ball cap. Come say Hi if so.

2nd Thursday of each month. Just show up.

The location of the monthly meeting has been changed. The new location is at the Ocean View Seafood Restaurant in Lexington. The address is: 1803 Cotton Grove Rd, Lexington, NC 27292

What BW said. Plus there’s a range walk through and you have to demonstrate safe gun handling by firing a few rounds to show you can hit the berm. Give them a check for $425 and they give you a temporary ID card and you get an official one in the mail a bit later. After that send them $125 every September and your good. Gate code changes in November- December of each year.

Just understand that once you have secured a membership. The ammo stash that you thought you had, will start to dissolve. I thought I had enough ammo for the next apocalypse, I have been a member for around 2 years now, and I am getting a little anxious about my stock

Ive been to a handfull of meetings, never anything too serious or bad at them, so Im curious what happened last night.
I had thought about going, but I was very tired...ended up asleep by 8:30!
 
Interesting. Also curious as to what was being discussed. I've found the PHA meetings to be B. O. R. I. N. G.
 
Far be it for me to discuss club business on a public forum. Especially since I'm not even a member.
 
Question I don’t see an answer to on the site...

I know shooting hours are from 8a-legal sundown, but are they open 7 days a week? Was just curious about Sunday...and am assuming it’s open but have never been.

Rise zombie thread!

So, I did my walk through a few weeks ago, but check has yet to clear the bank. Are they always this slow cashing checks? I've sent an email to the membership secretary to see what the deal is.

Yes. Yearly renewal check usually takes a while to cash. Every year I think I’m going to get lucky and get a free year...like my check blew out of the car window or something. Then it cashes and ruins my little daydream.
 
Congratulations! Outdoor ranges are the way to go. Less airborne breathable pollution and concussion. Plus there are usually many more options for targets. I have been a member of DPRC for 30 years and consider it money well spent. ALWAYS in a good mood after a day at the range
