I just got home from seeing this. The movie was pretty good. They definitely went in a different direction with it, and the setup for the next movie ought to make it fairly interesting. This movie definitely went back to more of a horror vibe for the second half of the movie while first half felt like an Indiana Jones movie. I’d like to hear what other people think of the movie.

I watched it, just a rehash of the old movies, mercenaries kidnapping the dinosaurs for someone else's profit, just didn't care for it, but it appears from the box office numbers I'm one of the few who didn't

It was somewhat of a rehash, but they did it in such a way that it was satisfying for me especially in how it went after the capturing.

We took the kids Saturday to watch it. It was predictable but fun, the kids enjoyed it. There’s a $5 theater in High Point so we can actually afford to go. I wouldn’t say it was worth a $13 ticket.

In our seats for a 6:30p showing.

AMC has $5 tickets on Tuesday nights and $5 "cameo" popcorn and drink (normal price on receipt said $11.28).

~$20 for the two of us, not counting the two $.98 boxes of candy I grabbed at Walmart last week just for the occasion. :D

We saw it on Friday. My son is all in for Star Wars and Jurassic Park movies. We all enjoyed it. He got kind of sad when they left the island but that passed.
I really enjoyed stopping at the Krispy Kreme that is next door to the theater in Hendersonville after the movie.

My three thoughts:

1. The Indiana Jones/horror movie description is about right.
2. Why in the world would you take young kids to this movie?
3. I highly recommend having the row behind you filled by black women for this movie!!

After we sat down about 10 black women filed into the row next us. There was popcorn all over the floor after the movie. Lol. I think every jump scare got my 12 year old sister in law.

You must know some soft kids. Language, sex, blood, gore. I didn’t see any of it. There were a few “boo” moments and the dinosaur as the island was exploding but nothing that my 4 year old couldn’t handle.

Then we can agree to have completely different standards. They'll have plenty of time to be exposed to that stuff later on. It's not that they couldn't sit through, it's that they don't need to.

1. I see zero reason to expose a young child to those images. (Speaking mainly to horror/death for this movie)
2. I see zero reason to bring a young child to any movie if they won't stay in their seat and remain relatively quiet.

I'm thinking we are gonna need to invest in At LEAST some .50 call equipment if they don't fix this.

Anybody gonna buy this on 4K when it comes out 9/18? nevermind

I preordered it on Vudu while my wife and I were on vacation last week so we had something to watch while tipsy one night. She enjoyed it, but wished more time was spent on the island. I think we did standard Blu-Ray and Walmart is shopping the physical copy when it actually releases.

Unrelated note, I did not realize Vudu is an actual streaming service with free content as well. They have suckered me in.

Yeah, Vudu has quite a bit of stuff.

I was gonna offer to buy the digital code off anybody that bought the 4K disc. Offer stands for somebody that's gonna buy it...else I'm off to eBay on Tuesday. bought it off eBay today
