Plus a new AR style rifle for $120. After 35 years of competitive pistol /rifle and shotgunning , I bought an Airsoft and this thing is a hoot to shoot. It feels like my AR, the controls are all the same and it has the same weight. The removable magazine holds 350 rounds and I just ordered 2 more for only $12 each. Its pretty darn accurate because I can I can hit a 1 inch pipe in my back yard almost every time at 30 yards and I bet my 9MM Carbine cant do that. What I found was a lot of fun was throwing a beer can in the yard, then selecting full auto and chasing the beer can while shooting from the hip all while in my back yard. No range fees or ear protection needed. Now, all these years Ive been shooting at paper targets, bowling pins and all sorts of steel targets all so I can say I beat you by a tenth of a second and I have boxes of trophy's to show for it. But, now times have changed and there are lots of Airsoft ranges here in the Charlotte area and you can shoot all day for cheap. Plus, you also get to stalk a real live person in the woods and in buildings and get your kill shot. This sounds a lot more exciting then some paper and a plate rack. Just something to think about Gents....

I played once with a friend. It was a lot of fun. The place was in Lexington, I think. I thought about getting one but I already have too many hobbies and not enough time.

Cool buy!

Yup. My kids are into it and I’ve been very impressed with the quality and realism of some of the gear.
Oh, this is getting crazy.. Its well past the kids stage. The larger clubs here in the Charlotte are holding special events where they reenact invasion's from WW2. Then they have events where, for an additional price ,you shoot as a door gunner from helicopters. Check out some vids on U tube from Gunnyswarfarecenter.

Gun Amazon, Dicks for ammo.

Sorry to be such a bother but do u have a link for the air soft rifle on Amazon? I hate wading thru crap to find what you are talking about.

My son and his friends used to go there.

They conned me into playing a couple times. Well, lemme tell ya...most of the kids out there were between 10 to 18 and I didn’t see one of them that were slow, fat or out of shape....and they were absolutely ruthless.

I found a good hide I could shoot from. I shot a little, but most of my time was spent watching these young kids shooting, moving and communicating as a team...I was pretty impressed. I thought it was going to be a free-for-all, everybody just running around and arbitrarily shooting at anything that moved; it was far from it.

The battery powered longguns are great. While Not as convenient a CO2 powered pistol is fun for ambushing things in your house ... just be ready if you pop her in the butt and she has a drink in her hand o_O.

I very nearly ordered a kit last night while drinking.
trying to convince myself i need some laser training systems though. mantis blackbeard looks to be awesome. they have a couple pistol trigger reset systems too.
If i had any friends... airsoft force on force might be good...

I will tell you the airsoft pellets will let your skin know they’ve been there.

When I went out with my son and his friends, I had on a long sleeve t-shirt...so really no padding at all. The mask/eye protection they had worked great, but you’ll probably get some pretty decent welts if you get hit on bare skin.

I think the one that hurt the worst for me was getting popped in the back of my neck...and it was my son who did it. Now..in his defense, I don’t think he was aiming for my neck, but that’s where the shot landed. I grabbed my neck, turned around to see where the shot came from and saw part of his head sticking out from behind a plywood barrier. I was all, “WHAT THE HELL, LEE HARVEY?!!!!!!!!!”

I was there when the Amazon package was delivered. It's pretty cool. Funny thing was it had "Colt" markings. His ammo was "Colt" too. :D

Was raining all day Sunday and really wanted to shoot..Now I can,, loaded up 350 rounds in the mag opened the garage side door dragged up a chair and popped open a beer. Shot up some more beer cans, played with the sights then rapid fired some evil looking fence posts practicing quick sight aquisitation . Some lil bird was flying around and while I didnt try and kill it the branch it sat on wasn't safe at all. Dead tree leaves still hanging was fun, they were hard to hit since they were moving in the wind but a quick click to full auto and a one second burst freed them . This is more fun that Ive had in a long time. I don't need recoil or a loud bang to have a fun day shooting. Dont take me wrong, Im not giving up my real firearms but I should have done this a while ago. Cant wait till the weather warms up a bit so I can visit some of the shooting facilities around here that cater to these nutcases.

Went to our standby, Gary's BBQ in China Grove. Great, as always. They do it right.

The top one is the new upgraded battery pack that I don't know if I even need it yet? The original battery has lasted for 1000 rounds so far with out needed to be charged again. I just bought another battery pack just in case I need one when I'm at a match and for some reason the original fails. I don't know if its an exact match yet, it hasn't arrived.
The magazines is the second one, $12.99 each and hold 300 rounds and they are an exact match. Come to find out, these mags fit just about every electric rifle out there and are steel construction.
If your going to buy the same rifle as I have off Amazon, it says it comes with BB's but it does not. I bought the 20 G weight BB's and have some 25-28 G on order to compare flight travel.
Heading to a shooting facility this Saturday, called Cedar Creek Airsoft to watch a match and see what kind of protective gear the guys there use and suggest. Whats funny is that this sport causes you to spend more money in protective gear then the firearms and ammo cost?
Let me know If I can help you further.

JUst received notification from my small local gun club that in this months centerfire action match, they are allowing 22 rimfire to compete with a 20 % time penalty. They are also reducing entry fees from $20 to $10 probably to entice shooters to come back out . Probably a good idea especially since normally
we would have 20 -30 competitors but last month there was only 5 and two of them were the match director and set up man. In the bottom of the news flash there was a short sentence saying they were considering airsoft. So I'm bringing out the rifle for everyone to try. Just to give the rest of the guys the experience and see if want to persue this idea? You can still have the typical action match with movement , paper and steel targets and use airsoft. You just don't need hearing protection.

Just as an update, The new battery pack came in and its actually an upgrade. 9.6 V 1600 mah as compared to original 8.4 v 1100 mah and comes with a smart charger that has an indicator bulb that will tell you when its completed as compared to the original that makes you guess at the state of charge. The home shooter will have no need for an extra battery due to its long life, its just because I'm planning on competing in the field and wanted a "just in case " back up to carry with me. Be warned, you cannot see into the chamber to see if there is a round in there so when you take the mag out and want to have a safe gun, squeeze the trigger at least one more time in a safe direction because there is still a round in there. Also,, there is no on and off switch, its all in the select fire lever. If the gun is on safe, it will not shoot, but when you select semi of full auto it will go off . The instructions don't tell you this, so this is my public safety announcement for today.

Ordered the same rifle and it came in today. Already have shot a couple hundred rounds through it. Have to say, I'm impressed for the money.

Mine is here also. I ordered the battery and it arrived today. The mags are scheduled tomorrow. Who already has an airsoft pistol in a glock format that would recommend it. I would like to be able to practice transitions between pistol and rifle and vice versa.

Reactions: Me.
If I had a Glock and wanted to train for it, that’s the one I’d get. Gas blowback green gas. I wouldn’t recommend CO2.

Thanks! I have been looking at reviews and trying to decide. I am looking at the green gas for the more realistic magazines and operation.

I just saw this thread, I cant believe they make "match" air soft ammo. This stuff is advanced haha!
