Just Some Observations

Nothing original about a Glock really. Locking mech is John Browning, Striker fired John Browning 1899 or Borchardt C93 ie 1893, Polymer frame HK 10 yrs prior with the VP70, double stack detachable mag goes to Savage 1907, Trigger Safety goes to Iver Johnson Second Model Safety Revolver 1897. Lots of good designs into a low cost reliable firearm.

CD

C',mon CD, tha's an option on the original design, not a new gun.

Glock makes one type pistol in many calibers, no rifles, no revolvers, no nothing else, except a special order G46 in limited production.

The world wants to know, Where's the GR-9 carbine that uses G17 mags?
Mac, it's called a Roni.

CD is right...of course. It's all about marketing today. From the Platform to the Projectiles.

I have Glocks, CZs, 1911s, S&Ws, Caniks, H&Ks, Rugers, Walthers, Astras, AMTs, Colts, probably a few I can't think of right now and been looking for a Steyr so I try to get along with everybody
Unless there is a Hi-Point in the lot somewhere, you arent truly multicultural.

I put a Pachmyer grip sleeve on a G41 with the medium beavertail backstrap.
That increased the girth to the size of a small telephone pole and made trigger reach right around 9 inches.
But if you can grip this thing and control it, then you should be able to shoot just about any store-bought handgun ever made.

Do you carry the CZ Compact? If yes, would you recommend?

I dont believe Geezer does, but I do (sort of...the P01) as well as quite a few other members.
And yes...would recommend.
But there's a couple things I believe you need to be aware of first.
1. The CZ Compact (with safety) is a steel framed gun, and as such, is heavier than other guns similarly sized.
2. They are notoriously oversprung from the factory. Get and install the three spring kit from Cajun Gun Works to reduce the DA pull by almost half while retaining 100% ignition.
3. It is meant to be carried in Condition One. If you are uncomfortable with that, there is a half cock notch to make that first DA pull tolerable.
4. A good belt and holster to distribute the weight are absolutely necessary if you carry one.
5. There are two decocker variants (PCR and P-01) built on alloy frames so they are lighter than the CZ Compact. The P-01 has a rail and the PCR does not. Neither were meant to be carried Condition One, so refetence back to my statements about slrings and the half cock notch. Good belt and holster still required.
6. If you have a preferred aftermarket night sight system, chances are it's made for the CZ75 series, too, and you'll be right at home lol

I'm in NC just across the border from Gaffney, so if you are nearby in the upstate area, I can put a few in your hands to test fire if you want.

No, I don't carry the CZ. I only got it a week ago. It is a nice size and if you don't mind carrying an all steel gun, it would be a great choice. @draco88 is a good source of info for all things CZ.

Thank you for the information and the very generous offer! I may take you up on that invitation.

I had made similar observations last time I saw the CZ Compact and compared it to a Glock 19. The weight in hand is noticeable.
