Just Wanted To Take A Picture

Absolutely awesome picture and filtering.
A photographer that I met at Disney a few years ago sent this to me. He has worked for Disney for well over 30 years now and travels the world for them taking pictures. I asked him last year if he was ready to retire and he stated very point blank that will never happen. He loves what he does and the people he gets to meet.

A few more.

This is at Grandfather Mountain, I used a "Tilt Shift" program to get the effect.

Annual oyster roast at the French Huguenot church in Cainhoy SC where my kin worshiped in the early 1700's. The original church built in 1708 burned in a forest fire and this building was constructed in 1819.

I've had a few questions about the car in post #128. First the picture is not reversed, it's a right hand drive. Why? Because the guy that built it wanted something different and just because. Car owner is a friend of mine in Spartanburg who builds big inch ( 700-900 ci.) multi-stage nitrous drag race engines.

Power is flat head Ford, trans is a Lenco and the rear is a Speedway Engineering quick change. Tractor seat out back puts you within reach of the .50 cal. Lenco trans used to be what the Pro Stock cars ran. One thing I learned the day I took a ride in this car is the Lenco gives you 4 speeds forward and reverse. Flat head doesn't make a ton of power but the car is pretty light so it goes okay. And there are empty .50 shells rolling around in the floor board.

So, I recently bought a new camera and have been foolin around with it a little bit trying to figure things out on it. I must say, point and shoot cameras have come a loooong way since I last had one lol. This thing takes a pretty good pic.
Anyhoos, here's just a couple of the random shots I've taken testing it out. Once I get more familiar with it, I hope to contribute more to this thread.

A little pottery vase sittin on one of our living room speakers.

Even closer

For reference, it's the one on the left speaker. All three of these taken from my recliner.

Random 5 gal buckett sittin next to the pool about 30-35 yards off the back deck. Impressed with the zoom/pic quality for this camera so far.

Gettin Leia to hold still long enough for this was definitely a trick lol

So, yeah...I really like my new camera so far. With warmer weather here to (hopefully) stay, maybe I can start getting some good pics again.
