Just witnessed a dude draw down on 4 guys inside a Walmart

Not sure if I want to comment on the brandishing, the elderly, or 870s vs 500s.

Guess I'll just wipe, then head out to the hunting property.

This is OT, but got me to thinking about WM and the checking out/leaving process - No, I really dont want to hand you my receipt so you can look at this mess of bags and determine Im ok. I'll point to the receipt in one of the bags ,but Im not stopping so you can 'ok' me.
Maybe Im being a jerk or rude, but it seems it only happens to me when certain people are at the front checking

I usually just walk by, smile, and say no thanks. Grandpa isn’t going to do anything.

Receipt checking??? Sorry I don't play that game. If you wanted to make sure I pay for everything you should have been at the register.... Smile.......and keep walking. IF they persist (as one old lady did) I explain to her that if she thought I stole something to call a cop and sign a criminal complaint so I'll have someone to sue..... They usually drop back and punt after that one....

Yeah...that could've ended much worse.

Guy draws, other dudes draw in response and then pop pop pop. Everybody starts arbitrarily firing and most likely, the only folks hit woulda been those not involved.

Good time to gtf outta Dodge and not get involved in a civil war.

Sunday morning the lady put her hand up, sort of in a 'stop' motion. I gave her a high five.

This cracked me up. I just did the same thing the other day. The gate keeper was completely stunned. Yes I was laughing out loud

Check out somewhere other than the front. Sporting goods is a good place. It keeps you from being in a choke point. Check out then walk out tire and lube. Avoids the crowds.

Good point.

Know alternative exits wherever you go. Most folks, in an emergency, will attempt to exit the building at the same point they entered. A prime example of this is the 2003 fire at "The Station" nightclub in Rhode Island.

100 dead/230 injured. 3 exits, the longest distance to an exit was 60' and most of the occupants tried to go back out the way they came in.

wow.
you guys.
1."Check out somewhere other than the front. Sporting goods is a good place. It keeps you from being in a choke point. Check out then walk out tire and lube. Avoids the crowds."
that's MY secret. park in the Auto Repair area. use that entrance. 12 yards to the door. check out anywhere except the front. leave through "tire and lube".
2. "One point I make with wife when eating in a restaurant: Go out through the kitchen if need be. Just yell "immigration" and go out back door."
did that once at a Kmart service desk (i said "immigration". did not yell). two women took off running. one out the front door.

See, that's not accurate. If they asked to see a badge there would be two options.

1. Your bullshitting them and they just get pissed off

2. You're for real and they're being detained/deported (or possibly given $5k cash and a NC ballot, but I digress)

The risk that you're for real and they suffer consequences is too great.

Their only logical option is to run.
Thought about that but somebody would want to see a badge.

If I'm going out the back door I don't want a stampede in my way. Health inspections are routine in restaurants.

@Johnny would just pull the Barrett 50 Cal off his back he just won and say, " Do you feel lucky punk? Well, do you?" in his Clint Eastwood voice.....

And I suppose you just roll over like a good little boy and show them your receipt. Little old ladies and men bullying you into submitting. Do you wet your pants when their through or just shiver and go home??

Triggered much?

I don’t consider someone asking to see my receipt as “bullying”. But then again, I can’t remember the last time I was ever asked to show a receipt to anyone. Must be my white privilege or something. Sorry you got so offended and took my post personally. I guess when the shoe fits...

Ya idk, I personally don't have a problem with showing a proof of purchase. Not sure what the big deal is with that. Could someone enlighten me as to WHY I should care?

How many health inspectors running in screaming "HEALTH INSPECTOR!". I guess it could be a no knock health inspection.
I ain't going to be screaming or running. I might walk briskly but run, never.

And health inspections are no knock. They show up unannounced at your worst time.

Not a huge deal, but if you checked out at a register then the receipt is BS. I could see it if you went through a self check line. I don't go to Costco and this is one reason. I let my wife put up with this crap so I don't offend some Costco worker.

Sure: you shouldn’t. Their store, their rules. Businesses have the freedom to practice as they wish. It’s capitalism. You don’t like receipt checks, shop elsewhere.

First of all, the Remington 870 > * :D

Secondly the key to shopping at Wally World is to carry yourself in such a way that the crazies view you as their king and they will part like the Red Sea when you’re walking around, or so I’ve been told lol
