Picked up a Leek recently and love the design but hate the slick scales. Anyone have a source for some laser cut grip material for it, or any other ideas?

Are you looking for something like skateboard tape?

I started using the granulate Talons on one pistol that always felt slippery in my hands. I found a place to order skateboard tape for next to nothing so I can try making my own. Until it arrives, I won't know how gritty it is.

Can you share a link? If it's cheap I'll give it a try. If it doesn't work I'll find some use for it.

PM on the way

Try the skate board tape. That way you can file your nails and clean under them all with the same knife. :D

I agree with you. I had a Kershaw Leek once and always felt like it was hard to hold on to that thing. Always felt like I was going to cut myself with it. I sold it.

I lasered a pattern on several of my slick side knives. Fast easy and doesn’t peel off.
pictures please
also, I'll need to talk to you about pricing on engraving for a SBR

Guys I don’t promote my business on here. Pretty much anyone with a fiber laser that knows how to run it can offer this service including THSF.

I was simply making the recommendation as a better solution than the grip tape.

We know you’re not promoting your business, we’re just asking for a professional opinion :)

Depending on the exact size and depth of the pattern your looking between $20-75

Some people even have the ability to offer 33 different colors on stainless. The coloring won’t come off either..

How in the crap do they do that?

Special head and special settings. When you put heat to stainless it will change it colors. This can be done in a controlled area using a specific laser at a perfect power/speed to draw the color to the surface.

Gorgeous knife and thank you for showing what is capable on a knife for not a lot of money!
