I contacted Kimber to buy a new front night sight for a used 10mm 1911 that I bought from a forum member. I was surprised that the rear sight was still strong enough to see the dots, but planned on installing a Novak adjustable after the tritium failed.
Kimber rep asked for pictures, and after receiving them, he provided an RMA number and a UPS prepaid label. He told me that the 9-year old pistol was under a 10-year warranty for the night sights, so Kimber would replace them if I would send them the slide.
This is the first Kimber that I have needed to discuss with Customer Service. I have four Kimbers, all 1911 types, and none have had any mechanical or finish issues. This was unexpectedly good service, offered up with no hesitation.
I guess I don’t need to give Wayne any money, after all🥳

Miss my Kimber .45 ultra carry. Awesome accurate little bulldog of a gun. Never had a problem while I owned it. Wish I still had it. Very rare for me to regret a gun sale!
Heard lots of stories on Kimber but my experience was great and I’ve liked every one I’ve shot.

Kimber returned my slide a week later, complete with new Front & Rear Night Sights installed. They also polished the slide bearing surfaces. Nice job, unexpected bonus with slicking up the slide, at no charge. Excellent Customer Service!

Buy CZ and you will not need customer service. Come On Man.
Ha!
I have two Shadow 2’s, a TSO, a CZ455 and a Commie CZ75. Two of these have needed Customer Service assistance. Be warned, parts are often hard to find. Waiting on something like a Firing Pin to come across the ocean from the jolly CZ factory takes time. I find Cajun Gunworks will provide quick access, just part with Mo Money.

I was told by CZ repairs go to Kansas City and CZ techs come to the US once a month.
