I have since gotten a new .38 and am very happy with it, as it's heavy and nice to shoot! Gotta love a heavy, metal gun! It's lightweight so there's not enough mass to counter some of the recoil which leaves your hands to do all of the work. It's hurting your finger because it recoils upwards sharp enough to slap your finger with or between the trigger guard and trigger. Ruger LCP/Keltec P3AT are notorious for the same thing which is why mine gets carried a lot and shot very little. I hate it but I also understand the trade off iget for ease of carry. Pretty sure it's also causing you to develop a bad flinch so I highly suggest selling/trading it to be replaced with something steel framed. There is no reason for you to hang onto that Taurus with the active Buy/Sell/Trade section we have here..
Something else to remember about recoil management is that the bullet has left the barrel by the time you even begin to feel the recoil impulse so regardless to how sharp it is your focus should be on sight alignment and trigger press.

Mine is the Taurus 605 which is heavier and shoots .357. Makes a big difference.I have since gotten a new .38 and am very happy with it, as it's heavy and nice to shoot! Gotta love a heavy, metal gun!
Thanks for putting a pic up, Geezer (though you're the least geezer-ish person!)
I doubt you will stuff that shiny .45 colt into your pocket even if you have Deluth pants on.My kitchen gun is the gun that's in my pocket when I go into the kitchen.
I do love the Rossi, nice and weighty! Shot it today at the range, and it was very steady and I saw the fire!I held that Rossi and it's a very high quality example of what Interarms used to bring us in the states. Glad you found something you like @Millie
my kitchen gun is probably still in the case at Mid-South in Wagram (that blued Ruger GP100 in .44 special that I looked at) and it will probably be gone soon
I do.....but I have a gun in the kitchen and in the bathroom as well. So really I have 2 kitchen guns and 2 bathroom guns, I guess....In my humble opinion, your kitchen gun is the one on your hip. You do carry 24/7, don't you?
