So I've had problems with the stock KLR petcock where the hose barb section is bonded to the petcock body, the adhesive failed and I suffered clogged carb jets. So I finally ditched the stock vacuum operated petcock yesterday and replaced it with a Yamaha Raptor manual unit.

Since the Raptor barb is horizontal verses the 90° barb on the stock unit how have you guys routed the fuel line to avoid kinking it? I saw where some have slotted the solenoid cover and run the line through that area. I'm trying to avoid the tubing rubbing along the edge of any metal brackets or parts.

TIA

I actually rebuilt the stock petcock on my KLR, solved the fueling issues I was having at the time. Might be easier than going with an aftermarket unit.

Ah wait, you've already bought the aftermarket unit. Never mind.

EDIT, found the photo from a ride right before I figured out the problem. Look at how happy my riding buddy is to have to stand around while I "do a few quick things" to the KLR on the side of the road. Why am I carrying a spare ignition module? Doesn't everyone?? Won't be a moment and I'll have it swapped out.
