I am trying to get a few quotes on land clearing down near Denton.

I have 1 to 1-1/2 acres I need cleared off. Pretty wooded.

If you know anyone let me know. Have cash and looking to move quick on it.

Not only is this guy honest, he does great work at fair prices. He does work in the Denton area. He is also a gunsmith (McDonald Gun Worx) 611DB8A1-BD2C-48AA-99BE-12DBE416C2F5.jpeg

This. For underbrush and pulpwood size stuff, this is the ticket. Makes neat work of an overgrown mess

Also you won't have track ruts and holes where stumps were uprooted plus no erosion fences etc needed. And you can just throw grass seed in it and wait for it to work.

The forestry head mowers are great but leave stumps that will rot and leave holes. The best solution is a machine that can get the stumps out, backhoe, track hoe, track loader. Anyone that has these machines will be able to smooth the worked area when done and look good.

Around me; $100-125/hr for backhoe, digging stumps is hard on equipment..

Here at the base of the Birkhead just south of Denton. I have a John Deere tractor and a lawn rake for cleaning up. If you have a way to haul it then you can borrow it for touch up when it’s all said and done. Best what for fine tuning your yard for grass prep.

LOL... just realized it was you. You can definitely use my equipment anytime and I’d love to have you stop by my place for a drink if you’re ever in the area.

I need to do a few calls tomorrow and see who I can get to make this happen. No doubt you guys have been helpful in sourcing the rights people for the job, just need to get started.

When the time comes I’ll hit you up.

It's only as hard as the operator makes it. Hammers and vibrators type tools (insert joke here) are really hard on equipment :)

Skid steer with muchler and stump arguer bit.

    Just a quick update.

Looks like I am headed in the correct direction and have sourced this job to a local company.

From what I gathered it should be done in 2-3 weeks depending on his schedule and the weather.

I am reaching out again to see if anyone is looking for a side job.

Until the land is cleared I don’t know what the extent of the work will be but I believe it’s going to need to be slightly cleaned.

More than likely leveled some, remove some roots and rocks.

I don’t have time for this but I do have guns and money to get you paid.

If this is something you might be interested in doing let me know. I know right now it’s a wide open job since it’s not cleared and I have no actual list of work that needs to be done.

    I’ll keep you all posted.

Well if you do find yourself out there picking up rocks give me a shout. I’ll bring a six pack and come out and help. Hell, we’d practically be neighbors.

Over the new few weeks I’ll find myself spending time at the land no doubt. I am not a drinker but no doubt I could use the company. I have him building me a real range with a 3 sided backstop. You know your more than welcome to use it.

Once the building goes up, I’ll be doing a single indoor lane. Once again, you can swing by and shoot anytime.

Land is all cleared and the county ran some tests but they are requesting some advanced testing. Told me I need to schedule a septic company to come out and dig some holes while they run more tests.

You guys recommend any companies in the Thomasville/Lexington area that can do this?

Why the septic permit, are you gonna build a home there?
