Laser stippling without the laser?

Long story short I've done a few stippling jobs before that turned out fantastic, and this wouldn't be my first rodeo. I've been racking my brain over how to obtain this design without having a laser. Anyone have thoughts here?

That's beautiful. But, for what might have be involved, it might just be better to send to a laser guy. I like to do things myself, but then the cost/benefit kicks in.

Me too. I buy a $100 worth of misc parts and equipment, then spend countless hours coming up and trying to implement a plan, for a one off. And the guy who does them all day long and has it down, does it for $59.95

Yeah I found that too. Says on the 'gram his books are closed. Not sure what that means.
