Gonna post some things periodically I determine to be indicators that all is indeed not well. We need to be doubling down and quickening the pace, not taking a victory lap or a breather. Time is short, better learn now cause this material is going to be on the test.

It's time to give partisan war some weight in your preps, the left's tantrum is turning into militant insurgency. We can't know where this is going or who's loyal to who, but it's plain DC is getting dangerously unstable. It may be closed-loop hysteria, or it may be that everything of consequence is happening backstage. Everyone knows something, no one knows everything, and everyone has a theory. This is isn't politics, this is treachery, government by scam, third world stuff.

Diplomad puts it this way:

There is no concern for the potentially dire consequences here or abroad of their actions. All that matters to today's progressives is that they, and they alone, hold all the power in the massive progressive state they have built. Elections, the law, the future of the nation, and even logic be damned.

Loretta Lynch, Obama's Attorney General, is calling for blood and death on streets. In her words, via WND:

It has been people, individuals who have banded together, ordinary people who simply saw what needed to be done and came together and supported those ideals who have made the difference. They’ve marched, they’ve bled and yes, some of them died. This is hard. Every good thing is. We have done this before. We can do this again.

YouTube, 0m 51s. Lynch's speech only

Let's not shy away from what's going on here. This goes right up to the line. She's talking to the fringe against the hated whites who rejected the Hillary coalition—that's who they mean by "fascists". Ms. Lynch's audience hears her clearly: "we’ve marched, we’ve shed blood and yes, some of us have killed. We've done this before. We can do this again".

Yes they can do it again, but in the 1960s and '70s they had a green light from DC and there was no alternative news media. Violent activism was novel and fascinating. We knew better decades later, in Baltimore and Ferguson. It was made clear from the beginning the rioters were acting with permission. "We also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that", the mayor told us, which revealed there was a perimeter and everyone knew where it was. As long as the mob respected it, normies declined applying Rule 556.

Now they mistake restraint for acceptance, and acceptance for consent. They will act on that mistake. Ms. Lynch, et al, would be wise to step quietly away. She says they won't.

Bill Buppert at Zero Gov has this advice:

Use your time wisely to prepare for the continuing Endarkenment because there is no stopping it. Consider this a pause to gather your family, increase your preps, continue training, refine your armory and get ready for the path ahead which will demand not only your life but will determine just how free your children may be.

This is about the only "news you can use" in all of this. The rest of it is situational awareness, best seen from a distance. Bear down on your preps, buckle up and stay away from crowds.

No charges filed, because it wasn't an assault, but "mutual combat"? Are they f*cking serious?

Fine.

Deal with the miscreants using a 34" piece of tapered ash...

"It wasn't an attack....it was batting practice."

Have you watched CitizenFour? It cleared some things up for me about Snowden. And if you have seen it, watch it again. Some things sank in for me the second time through.

Utah should shut the water and power off to that facility, of which I guarantee you it uses tons of both, and watch it go down the tubes. The people should be in an uproar that such a facility was constructed in their state, the fact that they're not is indicative of the problem.

Is 1,000 rounds for your battle rifle enough for a Mad Max collapse? Let's do some fifth grade arithmetic. Twenty rounds a week is 1,040 rounds a year. Or say a hundred rounds a month, which is 1,200 rounds a year. About the same. Figure three years and it comes to 3,120 to 3,600 rounds. Call it 3,000 rounds. So, 1,000 rounds seems low. If it's too much you end up with a surplus and bragging rights. If it's not enough you end up dead. Or you may end up dead with a surplus.

Look at it another way, a Mad Max collapse with extra Mad. One firefight a month using 160 rounds each, which is 8 twenty-round magazines, comes to 1,920 rounds per year. Let's be optimistic and assume you can survive thirty six gun battles—thirty five sure, but thirty six? Figuring three years it totals 5,760 rounds.

If the premises are reasonable, and who knows if they are, a stash of 3,000 to 6,000 rounds would be about right. More than you have? Cheer up, it's a near certainty something other than gunfire will get you anyway.

At first, after looking at his numbers, I thought, Whew, I can back off buying now. Then I realized his calculations are for only 3yrs. Assuming no foreseeable resupply and factor in training...

;)

The math is right. I tell people all the time they likely have enough. Why?
In a SHTF/EMP\eco collapse scenario, if you have any sense at all a gun battle will be the least of your worries. Pneumonia, cholera, typhoid, Hep a, influenza, food poisoning, apendisitis, gangrene, that will be the biggest killers. Simple cuts and scrapes will be major problems, starvation and malnutrition will be a real concern.

Wild game? Oh, you hunt a couple times a year and sometimes get a deer? You have never studied furbearer behavior and how to make an animal step in a snare or steel trap? You are doomed to starve. The easy pickings will be gone in a month, then only the highly proficient will eat coon, beaver, fish, fowl etc. Too many folks think living off the land will be easy when they HAVE to do that to live. Got a flock of chickens? They get diseases too, and when every human as well as the foxes are looking for them, one bad night and you starve.

You can't eat 5000 rounds of 223, no matter how long you boil it. "Oh but I can use that ammo to protect my chickens, and hunt." Hard to guard the flock when you are 2 ridges over trying to find a deer in a fast dwindling herd.

Community is the only hope you have. I hope your group contains a Renaissance man.

Agreed. I was just kidding about ammo counts. Sanitation and medical will be the big issues. This is mentioned in Selco's account of his experiences. In the appendix of One Second After there is a study that estimates the human attrition rate after 1 year will be 98%. There won't be many people left to fight. Meanwhile, living off the land will be next to impossible due to competition.
Becoming self sufficient, raising your own food will be critical. Having sufficient supplies to bridge over a bad season. Having sufficient medical supplies, learning medical protocols, learning how to make or improvise medical supplies, old school healing methods, etc.

The parking lot of that place pisses me off

Well there's your answer to declining gun sales. Someone call marketing.
They're better equipped than I wold have suspected. Muzzles down, fingers outside the trigger. I think the dude on the left is ready to go for it, except for his eco-friendly water bottle. Then, it IS Arizona.
Interesting turn of perspective, eh?

This is my biggest take-away from One Second After. I 'joke" with my pastor saying he's allowed in my community since his wife is/was a nurse, and there'll be room for one (and only one) preacher!

Yep, but they don't appear to be taking their conditioning very seriously. That is one area we should all be working on. For some of us that may mean being able to walk a few miles carrying some gear. For others it may be serious distance or strength training. As long as you are improving you are one step ahead of most. As soon as this freaking cold/flu things passes I need to get my pudgy ass back on track. I need to get stronger, faster and more agile.

I watched that last night (yes, all 20+ minutes...I was bored). I don't understand what's going on there. I'm sufficiently confused.

Is it fake? I do detect elevated levels of fake-ness. If they're so hardcore "liberal," why/how the hell do they have that gear? THe vast majority of liberals would cry at the mere sight of that stuff, ESPECIALLY those motivated enough to go protest/march. Don't get me wrong, I know some liberals are fine with owning guns (I'm acquainted with some). But like I said: the one's who're full-tilt die hard enough to go march are typically scared sh!tless of their own farts, nevermind the pop and kick of a 5.56 or 7.65.

This might be a little funny, but they are deadly serious.

Thanks for that piece of comedic relief. The part that really took the cake was actually calling themselves "comrades." They could have used a Rooskie accent though to really sell it.

It is happening all over. They are getting gear and learning to use it. The ends justify the means.

Well then, I'm their huckleberry.

Seriously, I can't shoot you for having a big mouth and stupid ideas, but add weapon to complete the trifecta and we've got ourselves a party. Let's dance.

I couldn't watch the man lady stumble through his awkward and rather beta speech written by the woman he's telling people to support

I guess I'm to late for this party, what was it about.
Basically it was a young woman going on about being AntiFa and then a man dressed like a woman going on about dressing this way to support the AntiFa women who evidently will be leading the charge to kill us "fascists"

I'll add this to the Lawless Push. Seems about right.
The most dangerous superstition is a belief in "authority".

Oh, I agree that the conflict is brewing, I agree that people are increasingly getting to the point of refusing to accept or recognize the other "sides" claim of "augority" when they should really be rejecting all claims of it from all sides and instead live like free people.

Problem is, there must be someone in charge or the whole damn place will run amok. There are way too many people on this continent to let them try to govern themselves as in villages.
A (1) "Freeman" living on the road or out in the woods is one thing but too many freemen and the whole thing collapses in on itself and the Internet goes down, CFF is no more and we are back in the stone age.

You know law....You might need one of those nice Road Armor front bumpers for that 7.3 of yours.
Might come in handy....

What these young folks seem to have overlooked is understanding the political context of their military campaign, if we dare call it such.

They are wearing their hearts on their sleeves, confusing their ideals and social objectives with the martial goals required to wage a successful insurgency.

This is a common miscalculation - military leaders as great as Robert E. Lee and Napoleon Bonaparte likewise made the same mistake.

At any rate, what that video really does is identify an easily exploited weakness that can be used to subvert the Command and Control function of AntiFa. It is already a majority male organization; the feminist wing is attempting to take over, with the aid of some emasculated boys in dresses.

That is a point of natural conflict within the entire organization. So let's say this goes hot, even in a limited way. The likelihood of success will depend heavily on the leadership that emerges and its ability to push their members to act even in the face of overwhelming odds and despite setbacks. That's huge - and critical because an army cannot function and win on heart or fanaticism alone.

If that leadership is predominantly male, it can be attacked politically and psychologically over being part of "the patriarchy.". An effective male commander, combat vet or no, locally, regionally or nationally can be diminished and marginalized simply for having a penis - his legitimacy undermined and his effectiveness eliminated without engaging in open conflict. Even better, he will be toppled by his own people for failing their own purity test.

If that Leadership is predominantly female, it can be attacked and undermined as weak and ineffective, as debasing to the males doing the Lion's share of the fighting, bleeding, and nights in jail. The recipients of all the reward with little to no risk. Either way they go, by exposing this expectation they are vulnerable.

That said - our side is painfully unprepared for dealing with shit like this if it sounds out of control. We aren't networked like we should be. We aren't fighting like we should be (or even were a year ago). We don't, by and large, have the fire in our bellies to be Free Men and Free Women. We don't.

The first step in changing that is admitting that simple truth.

We have the opportunity to change that.

We simply have to choose.
