So the Tractor Pulling group I pull with, Yadkin Valley Pullers, sponsored a "Lawnmower" pull today. I was in town, so I told them I'd help. It was held at Lone Hickory Arena, which is a spectacular facility in Yadkin county, right off 421. IF you needed an indoor facility to do a huge event under cover, thats your place. Car Show, tractor show, Camp out for 500 boy scouts….

Id never been a a mower pull, but I was in for a surprise... Anywhoo. I was hooking the sled for the "non stock" track. So I shot a few pics of these "lawnmowers" . They have more traditional mowers with souped up engines on the other track. These few mowers I took pics of have GSXR motors are souped up. They keep the cycle dash and one even had the handle bar attached with the throttle. They spin those things up to 10K and drop the clutch. Straight headers. LOUD.

Looks like a lot of work went into those machines. They look awesome and, yeah, I'll bet they're loud.

My buddy was running the sled on the other track and saw I didnt have earplugs in, he quickly walked over and told me that I would need them soon , handing me a pair.….he was right...

Neighbor has I think three of those little things, very cool.
Two bay shop full of lawnmower parts and chassis and one real tractor, I guess when you're retired you have time.
