I bought a small Lee melting pot to anneal some brass. The first time trying it, it would not get over 500 degrees and I need 925 degrees. Called Lee and the sent me a new thermostat. I changed it out and the first time plugging it in it blow the circuit breaker and a large spark out of the unit.
It not worth sending it back to Lee.
Do you buy another one or is there another brand that I should look at?

Do you have the salts you need? I have some extra.

I'd take the cover off and find out what's shorted. It's a heating element like a stove. Had one of them explode in a airfryer one time, just some freak thing. Lee will probably send whatever you need, or you can buy through Titan reloading.

@Catfish ,
Thanks for the offer. When I bought the salt and supplies I did not want to pay shipping again for a long time so I bought 3 tubs of it.

@Beef15,
They sent me a thermostat and I was thinking that I screwed something up putting it back together but there was only two slide on studs to hook up. I think that I paid about $30 for it and it would cost $15 to ship it back. I was questioning should I just buy another Lee of maybe a RCBS or Hornady.

While I'm not a fan of most things Lee, I do have 3 Lee casting pots and they all reach 900+ with no issues and I check with a thermometer while casting.
