wife and son were gone most of yesterday evening, so I decided to watch a couple movies using Kodi...and man was I glad they were both free!

Rampage: I'm really surprised this wasn't a straight to SyFy flick. And I generally watch anything The Rock is in...but this was just dumb.

Tomb Raider: again, I like the lead (Alicia Vikander)...but just couldn't get into this one.

Maybe you'd watch them for free, but don't spend any money even at RedBox.

What you start to realize is that no matter how 'good' an actor, many will do some side movies that are just garbage.
Samuel L, for example, has SO MANY B movies. Sure, he's awesome in things like Pulp Fiction, Hitman's Bodyguard, the Marvel movies etc...big movies. Then he does little foreign movies like Big Game
It happens.

Thanks for the heads up on those two movies though, @BigWaylon

Yeah. After 'San Andreas' I don't watch Dwayne Johnson's acting farc---er career.

I dont know exactly when it came out in relation to his others, but Central Intelligence, for example, was hilarious.
Baywatch was ok, but not great, I, personally, was turned off a bit from the forced cursing and vulgarities.

To the OP - I dont recall the Rampage movie ads, is that the one where it looks like a ripoff of Die Hard?

Rampage was an 80s coin op video game where you could play 3 monsters. Hollywood is grasping for straws.

Yeah, giant gorilla (who flipped the bird). Giant (flying, for some reason) wolf. And a massive gator/croc that had tusks and other weird stuff.

Really did seem like one of the SyFy channel originals.

My wife rented Tomb Raider from RedBox on Monday night. Neither of us could get into it. There were way too many moments of "why would that guy care," "that was really convenient," "what the heck was that," "those people are morons." When my wife starts making comments I know it isn't just me that thinks a movie is tough to watch. For anyone that played the game, it is very loosely based on it in that she ends up on an island with mercenaries. It's like they didn't even try to make a good movie. They counted on name recognition and "girl power" to get people to watch it.
