Let's see your home gym

Power lifting mostly. Bench, dead, squat etc. No interest in oly lifts at this time.

To be honest u can go with a proven Buddy Capp's Texas Power bar and just keep it clean and oiled....I lift in my unconditioned garage ( except for a heater) so I deal with humidity, I just clean and oil the sleeves once a week and oil wipe the "black bar" once a month with 3 in 1 oil and mines been looking good for 2-3yrs

Yeah if you're going to do mostly power lifts I'd recommend a different bar than if you do oly lifts. For power lifts I like texas power bar, rogue ohio power or elite fts power bar. Whichever is cheaper at the time is what I like because you're gonna squat and deadlift really big numbers just fine with each. Whip gets to be a factor over 400 but it is very manageable if you deliberate and tight with movements.

My home gym is now a nice clothes hanger. Joined a gym 3 years ago and haven't used it since. Shame because it is a nice gym. But going to the gym provides some motivation and I take a yoga class. At my age, I need to work on flexibility.

Mobility is super important. I take a yoga class for strength athletes to help me work on better mobility and refine my warm ups. Really helps find my sticking points as far as what gets tight and how I can get whatever is tight less tight. I know with 100% certainty that if you don't pay attention to mobility, it will limit you or get you hurt. Somewhere around 2x your bodyweight on squats, mobility becomes a key point to progress further.

Tight hams or quads leads to wonky hips on squat days which is going to physically cap your weight at some point because you can't move right...so you'll never hear me give anyone shit for yoga lol. I do prefer yoga for strength athlete classes that focus on mobility instead of flexibility but it is a concern you can normally communicate to your yoga person and they'll keep it simple and effective.

Not to mention..its nice to not freaking hurt! Your joints shouldn't hurt, they should feel better. Took me awhile to figure that out lol. Muscle soreness happens...but your joints should be feeling better all the time and not making it impossible to drop ass after squat day lol

Finaly have something to share. Got my Titan t3 W/ 10" extension put together. Added the multigrip pull-up bar and an extra set of sandwich j-cups. Weights, bench, barbell and dumbbells are all Craigslist. I'll be upgraded the barbell first. The platform is your normal 2 sheets of 4x8 plywood. Added stall mats to the front for deads.

Any of you homegym guys using a lat pulldown machine or pulley setup? I forgot how much I miss tricep pulldowns or overhead extensions. Looking for a good solution.

I'm in the same situation. I've got a couple pulleys in the garage. I may get some cable and try to rig something up.

I finally got 'round to rigging up cable pulley. I thought I had a few things in the garage I could use, so I dug around and scrounged up a shackle, pulley, carabiners and some chain. I found a a cable kit at Home Depot for about 7 bucks. Now, I'm no engineer and it ain't something Eddie Hall would do lat pulldowns on but should work fine for accessory and maintenance work.

I broke down and bought a pulley system off Amazon. It was only a few dollars more then a DIY solution.

I had a buddy fab up a land mine attachment for me. I kinda told him what I wanted over the phone and gave him some measurements and he came up with it. He made a saddle and cut a piece of square tube. It looks like Ray Charles did it with his feet but is functional...

Spent some bonus money just before the rush of people to get their hands on some home gym equipment. Got x6 pairs of 45's, and x1 pair each if 25, 10, 5, 2.5 rubber wrapped iron plates from REP fitness. I also grabbed their SS power bar while I was at it.

Hoping to flip the rest of my metal plates to recoup some of the cash spent. Shouldn't be too hard at the moment.

No - I do have x5 45's I'll be getting rid of. I think they are a mix of gold's gym and fitness gear. Bought 2nd hand and refinished them. I think they are already posted in the classifieds.

When I get back I really want some of their 6 shooter iron plates, some Hi Temps for outside and some of their comp KG plates.

I was really wanting the 6 shooters. But they had some "v1" 45s on sale for about $1/lb so it was hard to pass up.

@Dirtydirtysouf ...

I need to pickup an SSB and need your recommendation. I'm currently located across the pond and my options are as follows:
EliteFTS SS Yoke from their UK site, insanely expensive here, it would be like over $600 otd
Rogue SB-1, same deal, close to $600
Black Widow SSB, $365 after shipping https://www.blackwidowtg.com/product_p/bar-safety-squat.htm
Strength Shop Riot SSB, pads look like trash, 230euro+ship https://www.strengthshop.de/riot-olympic-safety-squat-bar
ATX SSB, pads trash too, 150euro https://www.megafitness.shop/atx-safety-squat-bar.html
Titan SSB V2, not a bad option but they don't ship APO and having a relative ship it would be like $185 for shipping alone

or wait a year to get the EFS back at home for its normal price.
I'm leaning towards the Black Widow cause Dean's looks pretty dang nice, I'm just not a fan of the long handles.

Just bought a spinning bike for home.
When this blows over I won't have to worry about making the 5:30pm spin class at the Y.
And I can get no impact cardio at home now.

Kettlebells and my new ruck bag. Injured my arm in November and still can’t pull-start my blower so kettlebells are getting dusty. There is a 20 lb plate in the back sleeve of the ruck bag. Did 6 miles yesterday and could tell when I got up today. Carrying a little extra weight on the back sure stresses parts that normally don’t get worked. Going to work with the 20 lb weight for a bit before I order the 30 and 45 lb weights.

Yep, I did...Punks dont ship APO :(

Dean at Black Widow does, it's only $10 over shipping in the States.
I ended up getting some Proloc Camber attachments directly from Marty (owner). He totally hooked me up, $15 shipping and even gave me a discount.

It's obviously not the same as a SSB, but the Cambered attachments definitely add a level of difficulty and it's pretty versatile as I can use them for bench and OH press too. - I'm gonna wait on the SSB until I'm back in the States.

Anybody have a lat pulldown machine? Starting to look at options.

Just realized I posted about the lat pulldown a few months on the same thread. Sorry for the crappost.

Seated machine. I have the pulley system now and it's pretty lacking.
