I just bought a new (to me) home.
The previous owner left a pretty nice LG fridge.

Problem- the freezer doesn’t get that cold...
Some parts of the freezer food freezes solid, other it only stays cold... thoughts? Ideas?

Also, the ice maker does not work.
When you hit the on button, the ice tray moves a little, and makes a loud click noise, and then nothing... thoughts? Ideas?

If the previous owner had pets in the house, remove the grill in front at the floor and look behind it where the compressor is for buildups of dust and hair.

Sounds like you need to thaw out the ice maker and spray some cooking spray on it. It may simply be frozen up. The other thing you need to check is how you have it loaded and make sure the cooling vents aren't blocked. Past that make sure the defrost fans are working properly and it's clean underneath.

And this. Lol

Another thing that may work is simply removing the ice tray from the Ice Maker, shake the old ice loose, dump it out and reinstall.

So,
The previous owner did have pets, and I have found pockets of hair EVERYWHERE...
So this is very likely...
Thanks guys...

As for the ice machine, it has this weird ice cube tray that is supposed to fill up, and rotate upside down, and dump the cubes in the bucket.
When you turn the machine on, it roared maybe 15 degrees, and then there is a loud sharp “click” sound, and then nothing... no water in the tray,
Water is on, and seems to flow fine

Can't make ice without water in the tray. In the past I had an ice maker that would quit from time to time and all I had to do was fill the tray with water and wait for it to cycle again. Usually it went back to work.
Part of the freezer freezing and other parts not sounds like an air flow problem. Also check the settings for the fridge and the freezer.

There's a manifold on the water line near the bottom. It may be bad. Also touch the wall between the fridge and freezer, if it's hot the fan underneath is probably bad. I just replaced one is how I know that.

Where does the click come from? The ice maker? The water valve/solenoid?
