If you need money for a real meal, most of us’d be proud to contribute.

First thing I looked for was the Dukes in that picture. Glad it was there.

Do we somehow have the same Momma? I'm pretty sure I was an only kid. My Mom tried to make biscuits a few times but they were IMPOSSIBLE to even chew, much less eat! Other stuff was pretty good, just not biscuits. God rest her soul.

Whoa, I haven’t had one of those since I was a kid.
Now I must go get tomatoes.

Thick slice of Brandywine mater, cold cathead biscuit, Dukes mayo, a little salt, and a glass of ice cold whole milk.
That's as good as it gets.

Meh, don't know if I would go for the biscuit. But a mater sandwich on white bread is pretty great.

My dad and I will eat tomato sandwiches until we get sores in our mouths.

The last couple-dozen times I've had a mater biscuit it was open-face with a mater slice on each half, with red-eye gravy poured all over it.

What exactly is red eye gravy? I've had it plenty of times, but don't know what it is.

I usually just say yes when the old coot at the lodge asks if I want it.

Cook country ham, pour coffee in pan to get the burnt crusty stuff unstuck, pour over whatever you want. Its great if you like salty coffee....me not so much of a coffee person, BUT drank 1/2 bottle of buffalo trace bourbon cream with 2 cups of coffee sunday.

I had a BLT a few weeks ago. About wet my points with joy. The DR’s don’t think I should be eating bacon. Might have to have a weekly sammich. Compromises.
